Getting rid of Acne and Scar

December 1, 2011 8:46pm CST
I have a brother who have acne all over his face. It is really not good to look at. Now, he tends to be too conscious because of it. He doesn't want to go out of the house because he is shy and afraid that the heat and dust could worsen his problem. I tried to tell him not to do this and that and to do this but he is somewhat hardheaded. He tried a lot of products on his face but it only worsens the condition. Apparently, I don't know what to do with him. Kindly suggest something.

It's always best to go seek out the help of a medical professional if the acne problem becomes big. They'd know which products to recommend and have ways to determine the root of the problem. Randomly guessing which products to use could only end up worsening the problem.

yes, you are right. I'm already planning to take him to a dermatologist. Before I can do that, I want him stop applying anything on his face. If he won't stop, may I can restrain him. HEHEHe... Thanks a lot.

It is better to consult a dermatologist. Applying so many things, can damage the facial skin.

Glycerine soap. It is not full of things that dry out the skin. I read about it on-line somewhere and because my oldest son has had bad acne that nothing seemed to help, we tried it. It worked. Now, as long as he washes his face regularly with glycerine soap, his acne is not a problem. I can always tell when he isn't using it because his face will break out. It is a pretty inexpensive thing to buy too. I pay one dollar for a bar and it lasts quite a while. Not bad for the best acne remedy I have ever found.

As the first poster said, it's best to seek out the advice of a medical professional. Acne is a much more complex issue than we often give it credit for, and there are multiple variables that can cause it. Most topical products only treat the external causes of acne, but there are some internal causes as well and they need to be treated internally. As for acne scars, it's best not to worry about those until after the active infections have cleared. Most of the treatments for scars are what I like to call "hardcore exfoliation", and using them removes a thin layer of skin. If someone is fighting an active acne infection, it can make the acne worse.

Poor baby. I went through terrible times because of acne, and it hurts. Tell him to please stop drinking any cokes and chocolate. Then do not wash fash with regular soap. Do not put hands on face. Put cocoa butter on some of the scars.
