Do you enjoy holiday boat parades?

I recently went to Laughlin's Christmas Boat Parade and I was very disappointed at seeing only about eight small boats in the event. Only eight!!! Yes, the weather was cold and breezy but it was no reason for so few boats to participate... or was it? One of the best boat parades I have seen is that one in San Diego, although I have to admit the one in Newport Beach, CA is also very popular. I have seen as many as 75 boats of various sizes at such events.
Do you enjoy attending holiday boat parades, with boats covered in lights and holiday decorations? If so, where do you like to go to see them?

Yeah, out here on the coast HUntington Beach to San Diego..the boat parades are pretty nice. No, I've never been to one but I have seen them on tv. They are nicely decorated. I'd sure like to be on one of them! But finding a place to park is a very hard thing to do and my husband refuses to do such a thing and I have never wanted to go by myself! I didn't know they do that in Laughlin...I would think itd' be a popular thing! Maybe it has just started and aren't to many to participate in it. I don't know, like I said, I'd never heard they do that there.

I grew up in So. California and enjoyed many boat parades there. I now live in Lake Havasu City, AZ and we have boat parades on the Colorado River and our river goes under the London Bridge, which is decorated and lit brightly for the holidays. We usually have 50-70 boats for our parades.
You really should get your hubby motivated to try a boat parade. They are fun to go to at least once in your life. Kids love them too. Lot any parade remember a few things: Take your portable chairs, blankets, snacks/drinks, and a camera.

Oh, yeah...forgot about Havasu! Been there many times...just not for the parade. That is a really fun little place to hang around in! Bet it is beautiful with all them boats decorated!
