what is a role of a boyfriend?

My friends told me about their boyfriend, and because i don't have one i just asked my self what is really the role of a boyfriend?
Someone told me that i should find a guy who is not just a boyfriend but still a good and best friend to me. I like that idea,maybe for me it's not necessary if that boy is your boyfriend you need to have limitations for him. Just let him what he wants to do and just treating him a friend, the difference is you have a commitment to him more than a friend.

The boyfriend is to provide a supportive, communicative, trusting and honest relationship for each other.

There are a few different types of boyfriends, because I worked in an industry where a few gay guys worked and I get along with gay guy very well I hung around with one of them for nearly two year, not many people knew he was gay and thought we going to gether, I can honestly say I had the best two years, no strings attached, better than having a friend who was a girl, gay guys are the best friend a girl can have I think.

Well i think when you find someone you love you will know what is to have a boyfriend .
I dont thin you should treat your boyfriend as just any friend , he will get jelous or start getting interesting in other girls just because you go overfriendly with him , if he is not some love addict :P But still people should devote to one another when loving each other . But just a boyfriend for the sake of it might be alright . Ok i think i'm a bit out of my mind now so i might not say the best of things :) sorry for witch :D

I think it is ok to have friends. Relationships are funny sometimes but they are still relationships. I think honesty and understanding with communication is the key to successful ones. I never went with this "to the next level" stuff. For me it is what it is, it changes sometimes and that takes time. I like to think about things before someone starts applying labels to what two people are about.

The role of a boyfriend will be loving you like you have never been loved before. He must be willing to share and listens to you. Put you in front of anything else. That's the role of a boyfriend.
