I don't know what else to do my shockwave keeps constantly crashing. I am using Windows 7 and thought it was only on chrome but it is also doing it on firefox. I tried uninstall and then install and it didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're not the only one having trouble with that. Mine also keeps on crashing. I am using Firefox and I really don't know why it is crashing every now and then. I noticed this since I installed an update by Adobe. But I still update my flash player and still it crashes. As of the moment, I am still living through it. Even my firefox usually crashes. It is something about plugincontainer.exe. I really don't know as I am not a techie savvy guy.

I noticed that there was an update to Shockwave not long ago and that, after that, it kept saying that it had stopped working. It didn't actually seem to cause any major problems and the sites where the message appeared still seemed to be working. I suspect that the next Shockwave update will correct the errors so make sure that you have automatic updates turned on for Adobe, at least.

In Chrome, I have read on the forum that you need to disable the Flash that comes with Chrome. You can do this by typing about:plugins on your address line and then disabling the Chrome version of Flash. However, I have done this and it still crashes many times, and even in Firefox. topffer mentioned that he used older version of Flash. So I am now using Firefox version 10 instead of version 11. It does not crash in Chrome anymore, but still crashing from time to time in Firefox.
