Two really good innings of substance in the last two matches helping India win the matches from difficult situations. Is this the indication that Rohit Sharma has finally arrived on the scene for India? Rohit has been off and on for India, playing well in patches and struggling at other times. Now with Yuvraj out of the game for some time, do you think Rohit can cement his place in this Indian ODI team? Cheers! Ram

Rohit Sharma came to prominence in the inaugural T20 world cup in South Africa by scoring crucial knock against South Africa which enabled India to beat the powerful hosts and move into semi finals. He was then regarded as a bright future prospect for India not only in limited overs but also in test cricket but some how his carrier slumped and he became "in and out" member of Team India. The injuries also added to his woes. With 2 back to back significant innings which enabled India to come back and win from difficult position, brought him back to limelight. He is definitely going to play long innings for India both in tests and limited overs.

I believe the Australian series is going to be his litmus test. If he can perform well there then he can seal the deal. But if he fails he could fall by the way. Cheers! Ram

The way Rohit Sharma is playing am sure he will make out a permanent place for him in Indian team. Yesterday he helped India get a victory against WI.

Yes, the West Indies attack seems to be to his liking. He played well in the away series with Windies as well. Let's see how he plays against the Aussies. Cheers! Ram

Rohit Sharma definitely deserves to be given a long run in Indian One Day team. He is immensely gifted and has matured a lot in last 2 years. He has the class of Inzaman, that lazy elegance playing faster bowlers with ease, ability to pick the bowl fast and score big once set. I am sure if he keeps performing like this, in long run, he will become more confident and experienced cricketer. And with improved fitness, he can serve Indian cricket for long. Cheers!

there is no doubt that he is great player and get very less chance but at present indian cricket has no space from because yuvraj and harbhajan singh like cricketer waiting for their turn so it is very difficult for rohit to play for india but if any indian batsman will injured then he play in his plays.

I think if he can be consistent, then he has a chance to seal the place. I think Yuvraj and Bhajji might find it difficult to win back their places. Already Bhajji has missed out on a ticket to Australia. Cheers! Ram

I think Ashwin left the selectors with no choice given his performance against the Windies. It would have been really tough to drop him or Ojha after that performance. Cheers! Ram

yes i am very sad to know that bhaji did not get chance to play for india on australian tour .he is an experience spin bowler of india and selectors make a very tough decision to not select him .ashwin was going to take his place who was a youngster now wait to see what will happen.

To be a finisher in any form of cricket is very difficult, with any form of cricket i mean ODIs and Tests , i dont consider T20 as cricket at all.Anyways coming back to the point Rohit has the ability to hold one end and he did that in his first major series in Australia too.I think he did not take his cricket as seriously as he should have at start of his cricketing career, that why he was inconsistent not only in international cricket but also domestic cricket. However with last Ranji season he has done well in domestic cricket and also for India whenever he got the chance.India is playing here without Dhoni and Yuvraj and still chasing down 270 shows amount of talent both Rohit and Kohli has. Also it good to see Rohit taking the responsibility and i think with absence of Pujara and Yuvi he should be given chance in Australia especially in tests.

What I have liked about him is his calmness. Yesterday, again he showed how calm he was. Despite the gap between ball and bat reducing, he continued to play calmly defending the good balls and did not throw away his wicket. Cheers! Ram
