I don't know would it help to stimulate the economy a bit or not if the government will definitely extend the payroll tax cut. But I personally would support such bill to pass for the extension of extra one year, since we really want some extra cash on our pocket. Actually, from what I saw, many people are willing to go out and spend, especially during the holiday season like now. With the extended one - year payroll tax cut, we can have extra money to spend, either to buy new clothes, or new gadget, or start a new cellular phone service contracts. I personally would need that extra money for the stuff I want for many years but afraid to spend. What about you, would you support this extended payroll tax cut for another year?

Cutting the payroll tax is a joke. Social Security is going broke and we are reducing the amount of money being collected. It would be like you saying I am going to save $50 a month but then using the credit card to charge $50 each month and then point to your savings account to show what you had saved. Your savings is earning 0.5% and your credit card is charging 20% interest.
We don't need to increase taxes on anyone but we do need to cut spending. We have a real spending problem in the government.

I think we should quit using the rhetorical "tax cut" term. It was a tax cut when it was passed, but now it's the current tax rate. Calling it "Bush's Tax Cut" or using "tax cut" at all makes it sound like it's separate from the current tax code, it isn't.
It's just a ploy for Obama, Reid and Beohner to get Americans to accept a tax increase by playing their bigoted class warfare games.
