Heard/read discussion or was it just a how-to question...about crocheting a purse using grocery store t-shirt plastic bags....
Here's a link to a step by step tutorial on how to make them. I'd bet these would be great for christmas gifts! And I know they'd be great for the summer fun times at the beach and pools where water is around and won't hurt to get this one wet!
Let me know if you have luck with it and what your's look like, I am in the middle of quilting now, but crochet is a talent of mine I might be picking back up soon as the quilts are done!

Yeah, I can see that they wouldn't be to terribly sturdy for some things and the elements. But to take to the beach and not have to worry about it being stolen or messed up with the sand and water would be a good thing to have. And to the local park...eat what you take, and throw away when done!

Good craft activity for a camp ground group! I use them for so many things now..trash bags, keep some in the trunk of the car for odd ball emergencies, and right now..I am saving them for packing christmas stuff. Last year I coiled one strand of lights, and put in a bag by itself and rolled the bag around..this year NO tangled lights! Also for padding for the breakables and packing for the ornaments and just put things in for safe keeping. I have the big plastic totes now but in past years...I had regular card board boxes and these would have been great for putting things in for dust and extra protection.

Something for the "to do" list! You'd have to have time to collect enough first!
