One would think Paris, Texas is the capital of the U.S.

They have that tiny globe and Gigi randomly picks a spot which turns out to be Paris, Texas where she was when she first came on the show. But there on that tiny globe Paris, Texas is in great big bold letters as if it was some huge important city. I'm from Texas and believe me although I had heard of it before the show, I can't tell you where it is in Texas. It certainly wouldn't rate such great big bold letters on that globe, it wouldn't even be on it.

Paris Texas is the county seat of Lamar County. It also has a Campbell's soup "factory" in it. It was nearly wiped off the map in the early 1980's by a tornado and it is north east of Dallas... No - it would NOT rank big bold letters on any globe!

Yeah, I know what you mean. They act like it is Dallas or something! But then again...they aren't going to Dallas, and if Paris wasn't in bold letters, then we viewers wouldn't be able to see where she was going! I haven't seen it in a few days as I am so bored with the whole thing. And this thing with the 4 kids (Starr and the gang!) good grief..I am so tired of that! MAybe it is my age..but aren't kids smarter than that? But what does annoy me is that none of them work. They all played around in school..when they showed them going to school, missed years and still graduated and now...none of them have jobs, but live just fine and never do without. Yeah, Starr has money and now Danny does...but the boys...who is supporting them? Doesn't anyone work on that show anymore beside John!??!?!?

The first time I heard of Paris, Texas was on a rerun of The Golden Girls.
