Die when sleeping

Grandmother of my brother-in-law( the husband of my sister) died two days ago. She was 106 years old when she died. Well, she had been in very good health and had no illness at all. Everyone say she is a lucky person and her kids and grandkids are all very good to her. She is indeed a happy person.
Well, my sister told me that she feels that the grandmother is the most lucky person, because so many people suffer a lot before their death. My mother had struggled with cancer for three years before her death, sometimes when i think of it, i was so sad and can't fall into sleep. I think if one can leave the world with such peace as the old grandma did, it is a blessing, how do you think, my friends?

Your grandma is blessed and so the people around her. With the age of 106 she didn't suffer much as what we encounter to my grandma. I was thinking maybe she had a heart attack while sleeping, that's part of the probability. but all in all what she experience had a great part to every ones life.

You are right, we don't know what happened that night, maybe she did suffer, maybe she had a nightmare and maybe she just went into eternal sleep. But generally speaking, she suffered much less than ordinary people before they die. It is indeed a blessing.

I wish my mom will reach that age too so we can make up with the time that she is far from us.

Yes, she is indeed lucky and have never suffered pains. Maybe when she was young and it was a little hard to taking care of kids, but her kids are all good at studying and having good jobs, which means that she had enjoyed the happiness with her family ever since her kids and grandkids grow up.

From my spiritual view I don't think it's a blessing, because the person would be sleeping and then seeing the spiritual world all the sudden and freak out.
If we are awake we might see the changes and be aware that we are dying.
I don't think I would like to go sleeping.
I know they romantized in Titanic but I think it's not like that.
106! What kind of diet did she take? She really lived long, hope she had a full life.

Well,as you said, dying in sleeping has its bad side, such as can't say something to their kids and their family members don't have any preparations. I say she is lucky because i think she had not suffered, or suffered very little, which is a blessing.
