A Parent's Joy

For mother and father, expecting the birth of a baby can be a very exciting and special moment - and when it comes, everything changes in their very lives. As proud parents, they rejoice in the arrival of a new member of the family; they want to show to and share with the whole world the marvelous miracle God has gifted them with. But how can that "Bundle of joy" parents shower with love and care remain their source of happiness until they grow old? Undeniably, it is a sad fact that many children grow up with their lives easily taking a turn for the worse - losing their fortunes, ruining their lives, and having tragic ends - giving their loved ones unbearable pain and sorrow. More than the inherent joy and pride, little children give their parents abiding as they grow up to be obedient Children of God. The Bible affirms that obedient children will receive a long and prosperous life (Prov. 3:1-2)
