Needing Some New Ideas

I live in the midwest in the US and we do not have truly fresh seafood in this area. Most seafood we buy is frozen. Also, it is often limited on what kind of seafood we can get at a reasonable price. Lately I have really enjoyed swai which is a nice, light, slightly sweet tasting whitefish. I also love tilapia, ocean perch, and a few other kinds of fish. My problem right now is that I am bored with the fish. I love the fish but I need new ideas on how to keep making it as well as making it healthy and low calorie. At the same time, I need to keep within a pretty tight budget so buying a lot of ingredients just to make fish recipes doesn't always work. I prefer to eat mostly seafood, including shrimp when I can get it, because I feel better than when I eat other meats. Also it helps me lose weight. Tomorrow I go to the grocery store to do my food shopping and am making my list today. So any ideas or suggestions you all might have will help me out a lot. Thanks

Hi capirani, Since you love Tilapia, here's some recipe suggestions: 1. [ http://www.tilapiarecipes.org/ ] 2. [ http://ag.arizona.edu/azaqua/ista/recipes.htm ] Here's something else to maybe look into - why not grow your own fish? Seriously. No more frozen fish - fresh Tilapia from your own backyard instead. 1. [ http://www.ehow.com/how_4501761_create-backyard-fish-farm.html ] 2. [ http://ecosalon.com/aquaculture/ ] That should help trim the shopping bill, and put fresh seafood on the table too. Just a thought - hope it helps.
