What type of website to open?

You should open a website on something which you are good at. As there are a lot of websites on most topics so you will have to be different and unique to get some attention. I am myself working on a social networking website. It is just about complete and I will be launching it soon. I also plan to open a website for providing web services as I have good knowledge of these things.

I maintaining three website 1. my personal one, not for earning 2. an online earning website - for finding referral and share how to earn more with member 3. an web hosting website to teach how to find a good web hosting. of course, recommend member to use the one i refer to earn some commission.

I suggest that you create a website which you are interested in.

How about starting your own social networking site like MyLot or Facebook? It's the trend nowadays. Who knows, you might be the next Mark Z!

In opening your website you should certainly choose an idea that you like since it'll help you from running out of something to put on your website. Also, it can help you in improving yourself since you'll tend to research more about the thing that you like. If I were you, I'll spend a day thinking about what I want and then start building your website around it. It'll also help you that you make a short business plan for your website.
