I really hate media and politics because we never hear what is really going on.
We just friendly debate between ourselves and think or should I say hope we have it right.
anyway if you have read my posts you have heard me ranting about the Prez on his vacations and how he gets to use the taxpayer money on his vacations.
Well if you are reading this maybe you are interested to know that he STILL owes police in cities of Hawaii their money and has never paid.
Yet he is now going on a 17 day vacation? At this time when so many are struggling he can't keep himself in our states to assist Congress but go to luxury in Hawaii.
I am sorry he has taken so many so called vacations does anyone remember any president EVER taking this many in 3 short years?

Americans will vote in men who are wealthy what should we
expect to get, they d o not have any inkling about how the
rest of struggle to survive and how many were and still
are out of work?He is just following the protocol of all the
past presidents I have watched over the years.we need to
vote in someone who is not really wealthy and cares about
the majority of working people.even Hilary Clinton would
have been better. oh well we shall see.I worked all mylife

Thanks for the info re HI unpaid debt. You are correct in stating how this man and his family are draining America deliberately. I do not know that we will have a chance to vote in 2012. Obama/Soetoro/Dunham/Soebarkah/Bounel is not our president, but an illegal alien Muslim/Alinsky/Marxist criminal of the worst kind.
He and fist-bumper, Michelle, have demonstrated over and over how much they hate America. These many extravagant vacations are just another way of "sticking it" to us.
Michelle Robinson Obama used to work for "Muslim World Today" in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Both of them lost their law licenses for criminal activity.
We are in a world of trouble since Congress will not act to abrogate this criminal, illegal, unconstitutional "administration".

The biggest problem I have is that the President is telling us to cut back, save money for college rather than taking a trip, He complains about the CEO' who have corporate jets and then boards his private jet to go for a trip. His wife tells us to eat healthy and she is eating 3000 calorie meals. The President has burgers, wings and ice cream when he is out in public and then tells us how to eat.
If you are opposed to Corporate Jets then don't use your. If you want us to eat healthy then show us how by the way you eat. If you tell us not to go on vacation then you should lead by staying home. If you don't want companies to have meetings to train their people then don't you fly to Europe to fight for Chicago to get the Olympics. Mr President if you want us to follow your advice then you follow it too.

Yep I agree just like Holder tonight that was in the Hot seat today and is still not going to release information. Unbelievable. Listening to him on Hannity tonight made me feel like he was Obama JR.

That's the problem with Obama that irks me. He doesn't seem to care what the taxpayers think. I really do think he thinks he's royalty, in that he never seems to pay for anything or reimburse anyone. Someone on here attacked me recently because I wanted to know how he came to have some basketball shoes marketed for him in his possession. Of course the shoe maker back tracked and wasn't about to say they gave them to him, but he sure wasn't shy about showing them off, lol! The fact is, he got them, and I think it's wrong. I have never heard of any president in my lifetime having things made for him and some company benefitting from it as well. He seems to like helping out those that are his cronies and that's it. Also, when he goes on these trips to Hawaii at Christmas time, the Secret Service people don't get any time off to spend with their own families. Bush and even Clinton used to stay at their own residences or at Camp David, so their SS detail could get some time to be with their loved ones. They have a house in Chicago they could stay at, why the hell don't they go there? They must not love Chicago as much as they pretend to, lol.

Thank you Fortunata. You said it simply and so true. To know he has money still owed to Hawaii for previous visits, and knowing wherever he is at has to be completely shut down its ridiculous. With all his trips what the public do not understand is his moves to have fun is like a platoon getting all their equipment ready to go to war and put on planes and such.
I wanted to go to Disney world this Christmas, but it would entail all the driving, finding hotel to stay in or disney resort, then all three meals to pay for and 4 day admission to all the Disney Theme parks. When I showed my husband the cost he said ok if that is what you want to do. Well, I went online to Vacationstogo.com and found a 7 day cruise where we did not have to drive to every meal, have to leave and come back day in and out and the price was almost half cheaper to do the cruise than use all the gas, finding restaurants, entertainment etc.
So I said no Christmas presents lets just go on a cruise and we get all our entertainment, movies,swimming, hot tubs, and about 8 different restaurants to enjoy plus the buffet and pizza and a grill that serves hamburgers, chicken, and other various sandwiches. Then if you decide to have a quiet meal they will do room service to you also.
All for one price. I looked at my husband and said we will save money rather than all the driving etc, and he said well find a date and just book it.
My husband was paying 1,000.00 a month child support for the last 3 years. So in June when it finally went away (boy graduated) this is our vacation from the money it took to send his ex every month.
Otherwise we would not have had a vacation this year. But even when we do we go at the cheapest prices and watch to see before purchasing. But while it seems a luxury to us, The amount of money the Prez has spent every time he vacations is not just about him personally. Like you said all the security personel that have to guard him, all the city police that have to watch over the area streets. all the shops that and boating that has to be closed down for him to be there. I know the average person doesnt think about stuff but if you read my above comments and see how he actually caused our Beach more problems because he was here that people could not work, its really insensitive since there is a job problem that prevails.
Oh well as O'Reilly always says Pinhead or Patriot? I think Pinhead!

I agree that in this economy the President shouldn't be taking vacations that cost the common people money. I could see him taking a vacation to Hawaii over the holidays and seeing his family, most people would. However, his trips cost everyone a lot of money. Bush took a lot of vacations also, but his were mostly to his ranch and didn't cost anything. I am surprised that he is doing this when he wants to be re-elected.

I really think people are over reacting to this. Most of congress will be going on vacation here as it is Christmas time. That is if they find a solution to the payroll tax debate. I do not know what you want the President do sit there in a empty white house and make a speech every other day until congress comes back. I thought most people on the right think the president gives to many speeches anyway. That he is always on TV. Make up your mind. He is only human and every one needs a vacation. I really wish people could put their political ideology aside once in a while and be rational and look at the whole situation.

its not about him taking a vacation personally. read the article he has not paid the little people in Hawaii for his past trips. Little people being the security and police that live there.
your right he makes to many speeches and they are never about anything. I remember presidents vacationing with us in the military during holidays.
Since I am a Veteran I distinctly remember Nixon and Johnson seeing troops over Christmas in Vietnam. That was awesome.

Obama thinks that the other rich Americans should pay but not him. That is because he is in reality in his heart a Communist. He thinks that he does not need to use any of his money to help America. He is exempt This was the same philosophy in Communist Russia and Eastern Europe. Those who were te leaders had all the nicest houses, lands, etc. while everyone else had to jump through hoops to get a place to live.
Americans have not het begun to line up for food as they did in Russia before the fall of communism, but just wait it will happen.
By the way, did not the former president vacation on their own property?

People's memories are so short.
As of August 2011, President Obama had taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had taken 180 vacation days and Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days, making President Obama one of the hardest working Presidents of my lifetime.

One difference is that most of our presidents in my lifetime (since I've been old enough to notice and to care) have retreated to Camp David or some other place they owned. Those places were already secured by the secret service. Bush went home to Crawford. Reagan went to his ranch. I think Kennedy went to his family compound. I don't remember the exact locations the others retreated to, but I believe they were places they went back to repeatedly when they could and didn't have to be secured each time anew.
I think most middle class Americans are hoping they will have the money to travel to be with family over the holidays. We will have to pay for two nights of motels + fuel, and we will feel it.
I think most other presidents went home for Christmas, something most Americans understand. Most Americans can't afford to make a vacation of it and go somewhere exotic. Seems to me Obama should practice what he preaches and give all that extra vacation money to the poor, since he appears to be one of the 1%. He could be donating it to the government to toward some of the causes he wants the government to borrow money for. But I think he intends the wealth redistribution to be done with the money of others -- not his own. It's the other rich who are the bad guys -- the bankers and wall street -- not the Hollywood actors and musicians who support him.
