how to deal a person destroying my reputation

The damages inflicted by gossip and slander can be severe. Gossip is often seen as a minor offense in the eyes of many people, until they have been a victim of such actions. Although many people by their nature talks about actions of others, the intentions may not be as malicious nature. Spreading misinformation or distorting of facts occur by accident is very different from such actions occuring with a malicious intent.

There is a proverb in India, whose English translation is -- An elephant walks on in its own rhythm, and never looks at the barking dogs around. It means a capable person never cares for people who attempts to defame him or her.

You just stay away from people who have nothing to do but destroying your reputation. You can't force anyone to like you but you can do a move to stay away with that type of person. just think that that person is insecure and desperate thats why he/ she will also make others feel the way he /she feels as a way of defense mechanism to mask what he /she truly feels.

Gossip is always interesting, to be used as the subject. I do not like to gossip, I always stay away from people who like to gossip. I do not want, other people gossiping about me. So, I will not gossip about others. To deal with gossip, you do not need to do anything. Gossip will only become greater, if you respond. Sometimes, the rumors will go away by itself.

i've been in your position before and in my experience, it's better to stay in the area where everybody have been misinformed about who you are and show them who you really are. For me at the end people like me better than the people who is spreading gossip about me. The first time someone make a gossip about me i got irritated and leave... it turn's out that if you don't show them who you really are, they will believe that the gossip were true....

That is very common in our society. I am also a victim to that. You can deal to them legally by filing a case against those who are spreading gossips or misinformation about you. That is your right. Then they will stop bothering you.

First, i feel sorry for the situation you face. I think it is really a bad thing. And if i were you, i will go to this person and have a good talk with him or her. To make out why he or she do such things, is it because of misunderstanding or other reasons. If he or she says that it is just a mistake, then you should let them correct the mistake. If they go on doing such things, you should take some measures to deal with it.

hello there.it is indeed true that gossips can be very devastating as it can damage one's reputation. gossips are considered harmful if there is malicious intent on the part of the gossiper. however, i believe there are gossips that are not malicious at all.some might even spread some good news and others may only be a part of pep talk between friends.
