One day a rich Dad took his son on a trip. He wanted to show how poor some People can be.They spent time on the farm of a poor family. On way home, Dad asked, "How's the trip? Did you see how poor some people can be?" The boy answered, "yeas, Dad." "What did you learn," Dad asked. The boy answered:" We have one dog, they have four. We have a pool, they have endless creek. At night, we have fancy lanterns, they have stars. We buy food, they grow theirs. We have walls for protection, they have friends! Dad, you showed me how poor we are.

nice one but the son is positive about people whom he doesnt know. The story could have been more meaningful if a poor guy would have replied the same

What a lovely story it is! Only a small child can have this vision and approach. Small and innocent children are unconcerned about the financial status, power and prestige. What matters to them is love and affection. In fact it is we grown ups who try to rob this innocence from them and make them money minded and so called practical people.

Hi... This is a real good story.. It is good morally speaking. But is that the reality? No it is not. I'd rather be financially secure than to have all the natural privileges. That is the demand of time and of life... :-)

Thanks lingaypaculdar, A story that I read years back which opens your eyes on things that you did not notice before. Is the Glass half Empty? Or half Full? Different people got different Perceptive of things around them (environment, neighbors, financial situation...etc). Finally and most important is Gratitude. Always be thankful of what you have. Enjoy What you are and what you have, :) GroWin.

I wonder how old that boy was to make these conclusions... Haha! Just kidding. It's a very very nice story. It remembersm me of one. A University teacher, who travelled all over the world, got in Brazil once. And as he walked by, in a field, he found a very very poor house. A man was playing with his son outside of it, with toys made of all kind of scraps. As the teacher walked around the house, he saw on the door these few words: so poor, but so happy...

I loved this story, it really makes you see that it is all in how you look at things. One person might feel like because they have a lot of money, that they are better off, and then again, a poor person might feel like they are the luckiest people because of the things that they do have. I have always been taught to be happy with what I have and to appreciate all the little things in life. I guess that this story is the perfect way to say that,. Thanks for sharing.

this story just read it on Facebook. It is very instructive to me an awful lot like me. because it is still a wise saying dan better with friends and without money than the opposite. because we do not really appreciate what we have and those rich people realize that the poor are simply awful. Thank you for discussion. nice day!

Wow, touching. Recently, I saw a kid eating his bread from the floor. I felt bad for him and asked my mom to give him biscuits. I also told her about the incident. She said the same thing as your story, poor people aren't affected like such things. we throw away food that falls on the ground but they eat from there. They develop immunity to such things and live a better and comparatively healthier lives than we do.
