Does yours still work? really three questions for fun and curiosity

I'm curious about this, and I'd like to know just how long these kinds of devices last I have a 2010 and a 2009 model and they both works great so far, in fact my 2009 model works slightly better than my 2009 model player strange right?
I'm referring to Blu ray players I actually have 3 questions, or maybe it's 4 questions whatever I hope some of you can answer them besides it will be interesting to learn just how long they can last
So what year is your blu ray player? and does it still work good? lastly can you still get a firmware update for an older model?
Yeah so what I enjoy tech questions I like gadgets is that a crime! LOL I hope you'll allow me to have fun and answer this question I'll definitely read it haha.

I don't have one. Right now I am happy with my many years old VCR which I use at least 5 days a week and sometimes several times on one of those days to record and play back TV shows. I keep tech things for as long as I can. The TV I had before my current one was over 20 years old when I had to get a new one.

Well if it an't broke don't fix it as they say, as long as your happy with your classic home theater system then that's all that matters
But if you ever decide to get a blu ray player in the future pm me I can give you some great advice on how to get them really cheap.

I understand how you feel blu ray players can be pretty pricey, I never thought I'd get one either until an opportunity presented itself, so I figured why not since I didn't have to pay much of anything for them, I got mine second hand at little to no cost and now that I have two I think there Amazing little devices.
I would not have gotten one for full price on my budget no way, in fact I paid next to nothing for my two ray players.
