I love using coupons. Every Sunday I get up and rush to the store to get three different papers. I sit and clip coupons every week and daily am checking out printable coupons on the internet. I also have reward cards to every store that offers one in my area, including gas stations. Some of those stores are online coupons you can add to your reward cards. I have adopted the Coupon motto "If its free its for me." Even if I can't use the product myself, its something I can use to help others in need. I also shop at places that let you use an in-store coupon and a manufacturing coupon at the same time better known as coupon stacking. Wal-greens, CVS, and Target allow coupon stacking, you will have to check your stores in your area's coupon policy to see if they allow it. I really do love my coupons. This week a local store is going to Triple coupons up to $1.00. Their sales add in junction with this, is going to allow me to get many items completely for free. The store has a few items buy 1 get 2 free, which I also have coupons for. They also have many buy 1 get 1 free that I have coupons for. I am so excited. I have always used coupons, but recently I have gotten into extreme couponing. In the past two months I have gotten over $4,000 worth of products and have only spent $500. When I get over to the store in a while. I am one going to the 24 hour one in the area, cause this could take a while. I plan on getting around $1,000 worth of product and if I have done everything correctly I will have three transactions and will only pay around $75 for it all. Do you use coupons? If so do you have any tips to share? If you don't use coupons, have you ever considered how much you can save? And what do you think of people who use coupons? Don't worry everyone. Once I get done, I will take a picture of my hall and receipt and show you all how much I saved. Happy Clipping.

I mostly look for coupons online, that way I won't have to spend money on newspapers to get them. I print them out on my printer, then use them. I'm pretty picky about what I use, most of them are useless to me. There are only a handful of good sites online that have coupons. Some reward sites will give you points if you use coupons, but those have deadlines on them. I also like the freebies that alow you to get the product for absolutely nothing. These are few and far between, lol. Facebook has a lot of them, but you have to be quick to 'like'.

Yeah FOrtunata...I have been noticing that many companies are making you "like" it to your facebook and then you can print the coupon! I hate that! But if the coupon is good, I'll like it, print it and then delete the post! More work for not much, but I guess if it saves a little in the long run.... I was thinking of opening a facebook page for just this use...coupons only..that way my friends don't have to be annoyed with all the posts for companies and manufactures. But that is definately the wave of the future...kind of like 'you promote us, we'll give you a coupon"..okay I can go for that, but still...just one more step in the working to save money!

I have been couponing for years. But now that they are all the rage...I have to ask..where do you get the coupons? I see in the sunday papers and look, and there are like 4-5 out of the entire circulur for things that I use or want. THe rest..I have no use for or know another brand is cheaper without a coupon and just as good. I go online for coupons and usually the same thing...they have many but most I have no use for. Plus...you are only allowed to print 2-3 of the same coupon PERIOD...not per site, but PER COUPON and they even will tell you on the site..that you have printed the limit. You can print the limit from one site, or one coupon from 3 sites, but when you hit th elimit...you can't print anymore. i have been working on this for a few months now since that Extremem Couponing show came out and no one will tell where they get enough coupons to buy 128 items at once..that means she had to have 128 coupons. Plus most stores don't double coupons anymore. So where and how do you get the "good" coupons? Please share!

I get three different papers each week from three different areas from my state, each paper always has some same coupons but different ones too. If there are really good ones, I might buy two papers. My father-in-law also saves coupons for me and so do a couple of my friends. When it comes to printing coupons online, yes there is a limit on how many you can print, you have to download a printer software just to print coupons, but for me when there is a really good one, I just sign on to one of the other computers in our home. I currently can print up to 10 of each coupon from the different computers in the house. If I was still in my other house, I would have access to two others, but for now those are packed away there isn't room here. Oh yeah the limit is 2 of each coupon

So it does go by the IP of a PC for the online ones. I thought so, but am not to intelligent in that area! I have only one PC and the sites I use allow 3 of each coupon...at least of those coupons I choose. Out of like 85 coupons offered, I might print out max of about 10-15. The others are for things I don't use, don't want or have no use for like pet food and baby stuff. Plus they only "restock" coupons the first of the month, so print out what I want on the first and print max allowed and then I usually dont' have to go back to the site till they restock next month. I often just check for new ones and have alerts and such for new ones, but usually there is not much new that I use. I look at the papers too...but again, same as the online ones...there are usally 2 circulars in the paper and I look through and out of the dozens...I clip 3-5. Half of that goes to pay the cost of the paper at $1 -$1.25 each. My daughter and I used to swap the coupons inserts, but same with her..just a few of what she wants and then those are often the same things I use so it doesn't help us to swap! I think the thing that helps the most is the stores that double the coupons. In the area I live now (just moved) and the area I was in before...no stores double. But I am glad that you can make it work for you. I am jealous! Keep up the good work! And ifyou have any other tips...share with us!

I have to say, I watch those extreme couponing shows on TLC and when I go to the grocery store, I feel like an idiot paying $150 for a shopping cart that is not even full. I can only imagine how much you're getting by paying $75 for $1K worth of stuff! Dedication is all I can say. And time. Lots of it. Both of which I have little of, unfortunately. I want to learn the tricks and trades of couponing, but am often taken aback at the thought and never find enough time. But the thing I've always wondered is do you also buy fruits and vegetables - produce and other non-"boxed" items that usually don't have coupons? I know of a local woman who is an extreme couponer, but I never see her buying any fresh stuff, just pre-packaged goods.

i guess it depends on how much you spend on the newspapers and also, here in Canada, we don't get the same deals for coupons as ya'all do in the US (sadly!) i read somewhere where one lady spend $100 on newspapers just for the coupons. really? how much money is she really saving? seems a tad obsessive to me.

For me I buy three papers a week, but only after I check to make sure there are coupons in the paper and that they are good ones, if one paper don't have coupons that week I will skip buying it, or if the coupons are all for products I don't use. There has to be at least double the cost of the paper in coupons for me to buy it. I print off a lot of coupons and the other ones I get from other people family and friends. I also call up food companies and request coupons, when you call vs. signing up for them online you get better coupons.

I have to admit I am new to using coupons. Now, I am not new to clipping coupons, however they usually get clipped, put in a pile or in my purse and 6 months later when I clean out my purse I throw all the coupons away because they sat there in an envelope for that long. Now, we recently got cable back after 2 yrs of not having it and I saw my first episode of "extreme couponing" and was hooked immediated from the first episode I saw.... for the last 2 weeks I have not gone into a store and not used at least 1 or 2 coupons. Today, I used 7 coupons and that was the most so far and saved 21.50, and even got 2 free toothbrushes out it. I am still in the learning stages and am willing to learn anything I can. :) I hope your shopping day went well!!!!

Hi! Lol--yes I do like coupons, especially when it's things I can really use now or know that I am going to. If we can save $10-$15 a week thanks to coupons and store discounts (if not better), I think that's a good week. Yes there is always room for improvement and I do want to improve so I will keep a closer eye on stores and the deals they offer. Happy clipping/saving!

My husband & I used to get the Sunday newspaper all the time just for the coupons alone. At first they had some really good ones for items that we normally use anyway, but after a while we noticed that we were using less & less coupons. Or we didn't need that item right away so we would save the coupon only to forget about it & have it expire. Eventually we just stopped buying the Sunday newspaper altogether.

I like using coupons as well. However alot of the coupon offers aren't items I use. I was able to clip a Red Lobster and Moes coupon from the Sunday paper. I hope to use it before it expires. You are definately a savvy shopper. I don't buy the papers often because I hate clutter in my home. I have run it some coupon sites which I plan on utilizing.
