FACTS: The 46,000 tons British luxury liner RMS TITANIC sailed and sank April 14, 1912 with its cargo of 2,228 people including crew after colliding with a giant iceberg. It was its maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York, USA. It was recorded that only 706 people mostly women and children survived the sea tragedy.
DISCUSSION: Granting 5 members of your family including you was on board the ill-fated RMS Titanic during those nightmarish moments, what will you do to save your family?

I would do whatever I could to make sure my family & I survived, although some things are out of our control. The way I understand it the rich people on the Titanic were the first ones to be loaded onto the life boats. The poor people in the lower decks were forced to stay below until it was their turn to go on the upper decks & into the life boats. As a result many immigrants & other lower class people were killed aboard the Titanic. I'm sure if they were given the choice they would have done anything they could to see that they along with their families survived.
