We went to city this morning to have my daughter undergo X-ray and pulmonary consultation. She was diagnosed with Primary Complex and Bronchopneumonia. She was given 7 (seven) kinds of medicine to take for 6 months.Next week we will need to go back to her Internist- Pulmonologist to see if her body is taking the medicines well.
Honestly,i was so shocked, she was so healthy and full of energy two weeks ago, then a cough came to her. So fast, she lost 7 (seven) kilos in just a week.I hope and pray that all the medication she will undergo takes effect the soonest possible time.

Oh dear, that's a lot of medicines. I hope she won't complain taking all those different medicines for 6 months! I'll also pray that it will take effect asap and that she'll get her normal weight again.

Sorry to hear your daughter is going through this. Not sure what the primary complex is. But the other sounds like something with her bronchial tubes and lungs. I got the pneumonia part.
How much is 7 kilos (in pounds). Will pray that your daughter responds to her meds.
You need to ask the doctor if this will be a life long condition that will reoccur.

Scarring can occur in the lungs from pneumonia, so I would ask the doctor if this could possibly happen. Better to know ahead of time.
Usually once you have had bronchitis or pneumonia they will occur again. It all depends on how bad it was to start with.
That is a lot of weight to lose in just a week. Hopefully now that she is on medication she will start to get her appetite back.
How old is she?

Tamirs I am a nurse and as a child I also had primary complex it is the version of Tuberculosis in children your kid probably got it from someone she got in contact with probably someone from your neighborhood, a friend, acquaintance or family member, so look for someone who coughs a lot, yung puyat palage because TB in grown up causes night sweats and yung have lost lots of weight lately. For your kid her medication is very important remember this her medication is daily non-stop for 6 months walang mintis dapat ha. Okay, I believe your doctor will advise you on how to take the meds. But this is the normal way to treat Primary so take care and ingat always for you and your kid and hubby...

yes deodavid, her pulmonologist told us how to drink her meds properly.Honestly, there is no one in our family has this kind of disease. We thought that maybe one of her classmates or friends have it.There are lots of medicine and the time to take the meds are very unusual.
Thanks for the advise, and from a nurse like you,i am very thankful. :-D

My best friend's son had this before when he was around 5 years old. Doctor explained it can be acquired through airborn.
It is sad your daughter acquired it, it can also be pretty expensive..just pray that she will soon recover and get back to her healthy self..as a parent, i know how it feels to be worried for your daughter..i have three! My second son who is 4 is quite asthmatic himself and always gets into little troubles ( he was the one who had dengue this year and had ear infection jsut last month!) and my baby boy who is 1 year old..is also asthmatic. thank God my daughter who is 7 is stronger.
But you know what? my bestfriend's son, i remembered recovered when she allowed him to play, to sweat and to run! The little boy had this primary complex when he was in a private school, all air conditioned and always get sick..but she put him in this still private school but not air conditioned, where he gets to sweat and run and play..and now he is one healthy boy an in second grade.
Doctor explained that, it gets worse when the kid does not sweat, it gets confined inside and thus causing complications..while when sweating, it gets out.
I will pray for your daughter Tamirs and for you as well. Be strong.

Oh dear... Losing 7 Kilos in a week is really something! What is the diet prescribed? Please ensure that she gets the right nutritious diet as I know, these doctors of today, say NO for almost everything.
Please take good care of her (I am sure you are a wonderful person and as such you must be a wonderful loving mom too).
Prayers and Wishes for her quick and Heathy Recovery.

so sad to hear that your daughter had weight loss that fast anyways based on your statement she is very well taking cared by doctors with medicine to support her, she definitely lose her weight due to lack of food intake because of losing appetite due to cough and cold.
hope that your daughter will get well soon and go back to her original weight and overcome her sickness.
