I have once eaten cobra meat in the province. The tiny piece of meat packed a wonderful taste, more like chicken than snake. I would not think about it if I'm offered another one. If I remember correctly, I almost felt ill not eating more of that meat. I needed more.

Welcome to mylot fullmoon I am sure we/every individual has their own faves depending from what province you came from right? I came from the Northern part of Luzon and I love Spanish and Chinese cuisines. If you ask me about Filipino foods...I love our native delicacies. I love suman, tupig, kakanin, bibingka uhmnn...and espasol yummy. I am most of vegetarian so,I don't go much with meaty menu...maybe a lechon for once in a while will do.

Thanks for a warm welcome sir. :) Yes, indeed we all individuals have their own taste at foods. When I was a kid I always see here many vendors selling bibingka, suman, etc. I always buy a lot of those foods because its really delicious. I am also don't eat meats before but after My parents buy Adobo, there came to tongue the delicious taste of meat. Also the bicol express. Its not too much spicy and so delicious. I like Filipino foods very much. :)

@fullmoon, The Americans love the Adobo. I don't know why. We buy bibingika at SM. But we also eat buy bibingka outside the church during the simbang gabi. @jaiho, I also love to eat espasol. Chao fan at Chowking is very delicious though I don't know if it's Chinese or Filipino dish.

Allow me to just select one. I go for chicken adobo. Native chicken- rooster, hen and layers are best chickens to be cooked into ADOBO. Ingredients include vinegar, toyo, pamienta, cooking oil and pineapple juice Dressed and washed the chicken well. Then divide or chop chicken into bite sizes. Wash and clean well chopped chicken once more. You may include well-washed entrails if you care to. Then altogether put enough and desired ingredients and chicken into the frying pan. With a ladle, mix ingredients and chicken well before setting fire to the stove. Then cover the pan. Don't leave the kitchen too far. Stay within sight of the frying pan. From time to time, open the cover to inspect and turn the chicken again to evenly cook them. When chicken is already brown and little oil is left. put off the fire. The chicken adobo is already cooked. People who have tasted adobo, especially made out of native chickens have their mouths watering for more. Adobo taste really gorgeous and delicious. You'll really crave for more.
