As anyone who writes for Associated Content and or Yahoo Contributor knows, the site is now Yahoo! Voices.
I have a couple of questions. I have reached my 1,000 views and have just a little over $1.50 in my account. When does it get sent to PayPal? I thought that it was the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month but it seems like I have had this money in my account for over two weeks.
And I submitted an article just before the change over to Yahoo! Voices. I knew the changes were coming and I thought of holding off and not submitting my article until afterwards but I went ahead and submitted it ahead.
Well, it has been almost two weeks and my article is still pending. I have never had to wait so long for a review. Is there any way to re-submit my article?
Any writers having any difficulty since the change to Yahoo! Voices?

Payments are made once a month -- the 2nd Wednesday.
Judging by the comments, many contributors are having problems with long review times since the transition. Hopefully, it is temporary and things will soon get back on track.
One thing is certain, Yahoo is definitely raising the bar on submissions which I think is a good thing. Unfortunately, I saw too many articles published on the old AC which were mundane, repetitive, full of grammatical errors and misspellings, and just plain bad. According to the new guidelines, old content that has already been published will not be exempt, and if they fall short of the new criteria, it may be removed at any time.
Bottom line -- try to be patient for a little longer, bostonphil. Payments this month will be made 12/14.

Wow, thanks for your help. You answered my questions and concerns. I feel better.
Your second paragraph says something about "judging by the comments". Where are the comments? I still find AC somewhat confusing and I do not know how to get involved in the forums.
I will only get paid 12/14 if I had 1,000 views by November 30th. Right? If It was after the 30th, then I wait until the 2nd Wednesday in January. Right?

I agree, navigation through the site can be very confusing when you are trying to find something specific.
I saw the comments posted on the page announcing the new Yahoo! Voices.

I also found this discussion in the forum: http://contributor.yahoo.com/forum/?thread_id=68565
And yes, payments are based on the previous month. See http://contributor.yahoo.com/help/popup/?help_id=818
Word of warning: myLot tends to do weird things to links, so if any of the links take you to a http.com page, just delete the extra www.http.com// from the address bar and hit go to access the correct page.

One of the links worked well - the other did not. Safari could not connect to the server.
I would like to get more involved in the community / forum but it is so complicated. It is not a good forum. I can not quite figure out how to find information or how to post.
And a lot of the postings seem to be a repeat of the original posting.
I joined Associated Content, now Yahoo Voices, in July. I had some success with upfront payments until late October. Then everything I submitted was rejected for upfront payment although I was allowed to publish after editing. I felt that "something was up" -- that there are changes afoot. And the next months, Yahoo Voices was announced.
I am waiting to see if I am going to continued to be denied upfront payments. Apparently from the link that you sent me, it is going to be more difficult to get upfront payments and maybe even published.

Almost certainly you still have an account. I am uncertain why Yahoo decided to to do this. You can still go to Associated Content or Yahoo Contributor and log in.
This change only took place last week but it had been announced. You should have a message on your home page about the change(s).
I am uncertain what is different but I feel that it is going to be more difficult to get published. I have the feeling that they are trying to upgrade.

I just went to Yahoo Voices and I hate the new format. I'm glad I don't write for them anymore!

I did not realize there was a new format. I have only been with Associated Content, now Yahoo Voices, since July. So maybe I have only known what you call a new format.
I am new to freelance writing online. I was making a small amount of money on Associated Content and found it very satisfying. I hope that when Yahoo Voices settles in, I will find it equally satisfying and continue to make a little money.

I did. I got paid Wednesday. But I still have not had my last submission reviewed. It has been over two weeks. I have sent a email to customer services without any response.
Is there a continuing problem about reviewing submissions since the change? Would you know?
What would you suggest?
