learning html

I want to design a website and I should learn some knowledge of html. Are there some websites which could be a guide for me?

I highly recommend W3Schools for you: http://w3schools.com/ They have great lessons, great step by step tutorials, and great "Try it yourself" editor (so you can try to type HTML code directly and see the result!)

Agree! http://w3schools.com/ 's "Try it yourself" editor is wonderful! I like it too! Not only HTML but php, sql!

Yeah, W3Schools is surely great. They have COMPLETE lessons about web development stuffs.. HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery ..... all available!

Yes there are many sites like w3schools, where you can learn as well as apply them on the site itself. They provide you with many examples and test that you can do easily after learning HTML. Html is easy to learn compared to others. Hope you can do well with your web designing.

there are tons of websites out there providing tuts, guides, and sample codes in making websites. i would also suggest you to learn markup languages and scripting like PHP, CSS, javascript, etc. also learn using frameworks like jQuery to get beautiful results with your scripts.
