job alerts from jobstreet, are they for real?

i received daily online newsletters from jobstreet since i remember i registered under them. i was amazed how they were able to have those connections yet there was no assurance that those employers are legit. i just wanna know if anyone here have tried to attempt to submit applications or have been hired by them.there news seems so real and a friend of mine wanted to try it out. when one complies with the requirements, it would be costly ranging from the costs of medical, police and NBI clearances down to the fares and others.please share.
