birthday blow-out by my boss

Usually, my boss would give me a birthday blow-out at the office, when my birthday comes. But this time, because all our partners and husbands are on Official Business, in another place, we (plus the other staff) decided that we go out to celebrate it. So, we went to a fine dining restaurant, where there is an acoustic singer, who sang those nice songs that are I remembered, as my father’s favorites, which I also like. We had a nice time listening to her. Though, my boss had to go to another table for a business deal with some of our company’s clients, we had a nice time . We ordered lots of foods, that after we have eaten the appetizer, salad and soup, when the main courses arrived, we hardly had room for them in our stomach! One of the pasta ordered, was made to be taken out for me! I was so happy, specially too, that my husband made an effort to still go home from the OB that night. I told him, I will be lonely going to bed without him on my side on my birthday, although we celebrated it already, the day before owing to the fact that he will be on OB that day. I let him eat the take-out Spaghetti with Meatballs. Saying my thankfulness to my boss, wasn’t enough. I texted her to thank her again! Oh, how I love my boss indeed and I told her so , in my text to her!
