Our company will be having 2 Christmas parties. One is for all employees, including our bosses. The other one, is what we call as the Corporate Christmas party, where all the Officers only and some assistants of all the other companies that our Big Boss owns will be attending. I am excited of both parties. The first one requires us “a touch of red” wear. For the Corporate one, we are required to be in “all white”. To be honest, I am more excited of the Corporate one, because the prizes for the raffle are all big ones, like cellphones, laptops etc. as what the previous ones had. Oh, I hope I will be able to win one. But, kind of Christmas parties they are, what is important is the Christmas spirit that everybody has. Right guys?

I work as a teacher so all of us are poor. We are doing a holiday get together in January because so many of us are swamped. It is a no kid party, so the teachers that have teenagers are having their kids watch the kids that are younger. It is kind of nice not having to worry about lining up a sitter etc.

sometimes I think the world puts too much stock in the winter holidays. Why does it have to be a holiday for everyone to get together?

I think it's because it has become a tradition already to people who believes that on Dec. 25 , Jesus was born. Hence, they find it fitting that we celebrate.

What is important my friend is that you all get to be happy eating together. It doesn't matter if what you are partaking of ,is just a simple dish. It is the chance of being together, singing or dancing at least once a year that makes everyone happy.

We used to have two Christmas parties, one for over all including branches and the other for the head office only, where I belong. This year we try to have Christmas parties on our own, parties in each branches and us in the main office. Last year our theme was 80's,which is really fun and enjoyable. Her in our building,a company also have this red and white theme in their party last friday,CCC.One of my friend work there and said she had great time in the party.

Oh, we have the 80's theme also maybe 2 years ago. It was really a fantastic night because most of our bosses are from the 80's , so they really were so happy , that they give away bills, to each and everyone.

I've gone way past enjoying company Christmas parties. When I was young-er and was trying to make my mark in the big company I was employed, I made it a point that I became relevant during the Christmas season. I was in charge of the Socials committee responsible for everything during parties. Nowadays, I would rather spend the time with my family than spend it with colleagues. Some I don't particularly care about. That's my Christmas spirit!

Christmas parties need not necessarily be at the office. It could also be with your family and relatives. Just having fun and sharing some foods or just simply being with the family to partake of some nice prepared foods , is enough to heighten the Christmas spirit!

This year, our office had (2) small office parties (a breakfast & lunch), in which we ordered food and ate in the office. It was a bit informal this year, due to all the budget cuts and salary cuts we have taking and more that are to come, we didn't want to burden anyone with the cost of a party and what ever comes with that. A few years back we used to have our Christmas parties in banquets and/or hotels, but since there have been so many changes, it's like the spirit isn't there anymore. All the old people are gone and we are now looking and working with new faces, but I have to admit, even though it was small and informal, it felt cozy and warm and inviting.

That's nice, because you have two parties. It enabled everybody to have a special Christmas spirit bonding. Our Christmas party too was downsized this year. It only included those that are from the backroom people (accounting and administrative ) only. That's because, we weren't given a budget for it be the company. Hence, we made use of the proceeds of the scrap materials that we have sold for the whole year. It was a simple party, yet everyone was able to have something to take home ( a ham) after the party. It was simple yet a very enjoyable one.

Since my employer before don't held parties like that, i don't know how it feels like attending Christmas parties, except like those one in school we had way back. But i know that is a lot different from Parties at work. I just wish you have a good time with your co- workers and feel the real essence of Christmas with them. And hope you can bag as many prizes and gifts you can have. :-D

Oh yes, the fun is so different in the Christmas parties of adults. Because everybody wants something to take home with them, we see to it that we are able to solicit gifts or cahs from our clients, just as we are doing now. Everybody is excited as to whether they will win in the raffle. Thank you for wishing that i may win.

We have a couple of christmas party ourselves.. :D we had one for the division and the other one for the whole company - its what you call the corporate party. :D I have enjoyed our christmas party - the one with the division and honestly it sure was something we really have been prepared because of the presentation, the games, etc and the whole division got together and became closer. Our corporate party would be this friday, we are excited to it too... :D

Indeed the Christmas parties really gives us excitement, chiyosan. With the theme color to follow, you couldn't help but buy yourself those. So you already had the division party. Us, it will be tomorrow. And just like your company, our Corporate party will also be on Friday. That's what i prepared for, because i bought myself a new blouse and white pants. I think, i will still buy a white earrings to complete the look.

hi simplyD yes what is most importan t is the christmas spirit. office parties I assume can be a lot of fun. I worked for years in our local library and we the whole crew had a wonderful Christmas part as ws we all brought pot luck dishes and we had a gift exchange and we got to met old library workers who had been assigned ot other branches so it was like one big family party. WE had a gift exchange where we could exchange gifts again if the other person was willing to exchange their gift to you for one from someone else. a lot of fun and much laughter. and we always had the fun of the white elpepabt gift that someone drew. this was the ugliest of ugly lamps and eaqch year it was brought again amd a draing was held amid much laughter and teasing.

Yes, those Christmas partyies brings all the employees together. Grudges are set aside to participate in the occasion. It is indeed a happy occasion, where everybody gets to exhange gifts, sing and dance.
