Do you live on a residential, I mean a standard lot where there is hardly any room for you to expand or do anything you feel like doing? I used to live that way until I go tired of having the neighbors complaining about the noise coming from our place. Noise?? It was just the small radio that the kids were listening to and talking with their friends. Finally I said, lets get a place where we can do what we want, make as much noise as we want, etc. Now, we own a small tract of land (8 acres) and there are very few people that live close to us. I now am wanting to sell this place and buy a larger ranch, one that the closest house is about a mile away.

themyl I think you are very fortunate to live on 8 acres. I have never had a yard more than one acre and now I don't even have that. I love nature and hope to move again to at least an acre. My kids are grown and don't live at home but I think it's terrific your childen have land to explore!!

I think I am fortune it too. The thing is, this place is becoming too small, in my opinion. I want a place of at least 200 acres with some lakes and some woods where there is some wildlife, etc. I've told my kids that I just don't want to die in this place (not enough land). By the way my kids are also grown up but still live with us. They just love it here. Thanks
