For me as a mother of 2 boys, sometimes it can be quite hard to find them Christmas presents. This year the only thing my 8 year old told me he wanted was Chemistry stuff. Now Gabriel, is really big in to Science stuff and Chemistry. He loves the universe, learning about the planets, looking at stuff through his microscope, etc. My father called yesterday and told me what he has bought Gabe for Christmas and I LOVED IT! He found some solar powered stuff at a local store (that I'm going to have to go check out before Christmas) One is a solar powered helicopter on a pedal stool. Dad said it goes round and round once its in the sun. He also found him a solar powered watermill and a POTATO CLOCK! I had never heard of a potato clock before. But Daddy said that it's a clock and it comes with a potato. You stick something (not sure what) into the potato and it makes the clock go! I'm SUPER excited about these gifts because Gabe will absolutely LOVE them! They'll also get his mind working and trying to figure out how exactly they work. Needless to say I'm going to hit that store up to check out the other solar powered items they have. AND they also have Chemistry stuff there too!! Talk about 1 stop shopping!!

The Science Museum in London, UK, has a lot of similar presents for Christmas. I'll find their website for you. You may be able to find the same things in your country, for future reference.

That would be awesome! Around her, the only place you can really find science stuff is from Toys R Us but they only have like 1 aisle of it so there's not much to choose from. I usually try to go online and find stuff but I just haven't been able to find anything this year.
