I have studied recently, that if we do not drink enough water regularly, it can lead to kidney failure. In todays polluted environment, where we have polluted water to drink and pesticides on fruits and vegetables, I am totally confused about where to go and what to eat to save our health. Can some one help me to know what are the main reasons for the kidney failure ? I recently found that one of my relatives died due to kidney failure even though he used to exercise regularly and eat good foods. He was very healthy as well.

I agree. Without water, the cells will lose health because it is mainly made up of water. It can be excessive exercise lost much water in the body and proper hydration should be observed.

yes that is indeed true- since water helps all of our organs function well, so we should take at least 8 glasses of it. Another way to avoid kidney failure is always peeing and not holding your urine too long. You can get water from water stations, only known ones to make sure they are clean.

As far as I know, "eat good foods" would not be enough. You have to keep it balance as well. For example, sugar is surely a good food. But if you eat it too much daily, you will ended up with diabetes.. And I don't think not drinking enough water will result to kidney's failure. It may trigger urolithiasis (well, it's kind a disease on kidney too, anyway) but I don't think it may trigger kidney's failure. According to this article, http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/yourkidneys/#why : "The two most common causes of kidney disease are diabetes and high blood pressure. People with a family history of any kind of kidney problem are also at risk for kidney disease." CMIIW
