I was just checking out the history of most expensive domains and found out that Insure.com was sold for $ 16 Million in 2009. There were a few other domains that sold in millions ! That's amazing to know, hope I can find a domain like this :) Anyone else tried domain flipping? Whats the maximum you have made for it?

basically, you buy a domain and sell it at a profit. a domain can be registered from any domain provider like godadyy for $ 10 (mostly) and if we can find a buyer who want to pay more than that amount to us, then that extra amount is our profit :)

Hello domainator, I am very much interested in this business after reading your previous discussions, but i have a little confusion- which keyword should i concentrate on to make max profit and the domain names should be based on which keywords, means which type of names sell giving more profit, how much time it takes to sell a domain,is it very hard to sell a domain. And if you don't mind can you share the names you sold, you can message me.

different types of domains sells in market, the best ones are with PR and others are the ones that gave high search volume for their keywords. aged domains sells good as well. you have to be present in the market and try to sell what the buyer wants - buy it from one place and sell it to hm at profit :) you must have patience for sure, a domain can take from 1 day to an year to get the right buyer, but be assured if its a good one, sooner or later it will find a good buyer. :)

I know this is a great business to make money but you have to know how to do all things yourself and also have to invest some money too and than wait for results to happen.

Try to check the iglo.com domain. I remember that they also sold for millions year back. How we can start a domain flip? What we need for it?

Hi Domainator, you wont get a price like this now. All these are the old domains with single and powerful words. If you try to register a single word domain, such as car dot com, health dot com, you will find all these are taken up. Those who have the foresight to enter the domain business are very fortunate. Right now the price for most domains are less than a thousand dollars, and that is hard to get too. Many people have many domains on hand that nobody wants.
