A lot of the time we find happiness and content when we are doing things that we love or make us happy. What are some of the things that you are working on or soon to be working on to improve yourself. I'm personally wanting to be a hospice volunteer. Spending time with hospice patients and their family. I also want to do more with a local animal shelter in our area. Depending on my work schedule I hope I can assist regularly. For me personally I want to use my time to take care of my family and others. I feel it's important to do this as it keeps me focused on what's really important to me. For work purposes I'm working on deciding what particular field I want to focus on for the next few years. How about you?

Well, I have been working on my confidence, and I think that it's better than what it used to be. I need it if I am going to find a job anytime soon.

Yes not having a job can really have a huge affect on our confidence. It goes down hill drastically when we aren't able to work. It is very hard to find a job and earning online is difficult as well. So either way things can be very frustrating and overwhelming. I'm glad that you are working on your confidence and I hope that you will soon be able to find a job.

I agree. It is amazing how being happy has such a good affect on us. It really means a lot when we are able to enjoy our life and the people in it. So many people are confused about what really brings happiness.

Self awareness & Personality Development - In today's competitive & complex world, we must make a proper self assessment of our personality type and chalk out personal change management to lead a better life.
Hi Dominique: I am working on a collaborative effort through mu blog to learn, share and employ personality development endeavors. I consider that personality development is key in every sphere of human life. I have already written about 100 articles dealing with continuous improvement throughout life under a theme of evolving. In this competitive & complex world, understanding our personality type, our emotions, thoughts and undertaking a personal change management can help us improve the quality of our life. I will be researching the web space to improve my knowledge, gather more ideas as well as tools & programs and share them with readers. I will be revealing only part of what I am working for if I did not say that I am also working on optimizing my site for monetization as one plan I have is to try & engage full time on online freelancing. In that scenario, an optimizing web site that earns partly will help me concentrate on my other passions.

I agree that it is important for us to continually grow in our understanding of ourselves and those around us. You will be very busy with all that you have to accomplish. Blogging and earning money from it requires a devoted effort like so many things that are worth all the hard work. I hope that you are able to reach your short term goals that way you will be able to work more on your long term goals and other pursuits that you have. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with me.

Hello Dominique, There are several things that I want to improve on myself. First, I would like to improve how I present myself. I don't really care about what I wear and rarely put make up on so these are the things that I want to be working on. I do not mean I will wear more make up, what I mean is that I will try my best to look presentable at all times Then I want to improve my English. I want to be well-versed in that language. I also want to learn other languages like Korean and Nihongo

Learning different languages is a good thing. And it takes a lot of work. Especially English. A lot of people say that English is a very difficult language to learn. But you I'm sure are doing as your english seems good through your comments. I hope that you reach our goals of presenting yourself well and in your study of languages.

I am currently looking for a new job, better paid, better programme. I am also working very hard this period to improve my communication skills. I am very introvert and I don't like that about me. But I usually get what I want, so I hope that everything will work fine for me. It just takes patience and a lot of will to get where you want. Good luck!

It does take a lot of work and effort to get where we want to be. But most things that are worth attaining or reaching, is worth it in the end. I know for me though sometimes it just seems that the goals we want to reach or the destination we want to achieve is so far away. It is good to keep our goals before us and to reflect on them that way we don't get discouraged and give up. I feel it's important for me to remember what's most important to me and how to center my life around it.

Hello. I'm working to improve my health right now because we are planning to have our first baby. My doctor told me to work on it to have a healthy lifestyle by avoiding stress both emotionally and physically, that i must avoid staying up late and some other stuff. It's our ultimate goal for now, to have a baby and we hope that by this coming year our dream will come true.

Congratulations to you and your husband. Having a child can be such an exciting time. It is very important to take care of your health. It has such a great affect on your baby. Avoiding stress is easier said than done. But I hope that you have a lot of support from your husband and that he will help you during this time. I'm excited for you. Keep taking care of yourself and your little one during this time. And enjoy all the wonderful experience you will have during your pregnancy.

I have gained my mission. My mission is not going to be the best. My mission is to always try appreciating every steps or process that I have been through. To can achieve that goal I use to work properly and economically. I don't want to spent time to do just one thing, I always want to do other things in my life. Life is so wonderful to be missed. To be the best is not my life goal, but to venture every moment in my life is a girt that can't just be forgotten.

Yes I agree life is very important and precious. We don't want to take our life for granted. We should work hard to do the things necessary to support ourselves and other pursuits that we want to accomplish. It is very good for us to appreciate the life that we have and what we can do with it.

I am reading a book about having a more positive attitude and this will make me a better person. When hard things come I have a hard time with not getting negative. So this book will make me a better mom, wife and person all together... =) I am also thinking about going back to school to better myself.

"A lot of the time we find happiness and content when we are doing things that we love or make us happy." I take this sentence of yours as the guiding principle of my life. I do only the things that I love doing, and which make me content. But I never think of them as a way of improving myself. That is to say, they are not done with the aim of improving myself. If I ever began thinking in that sense, and began to look for things to do which will contribute to my improvement, all the pleasure of doing those things would be lost. Now I would be doing them for a purpose rather than out of enjoyment. No doubt, the things that I do out of enjoyment do contribute to my improvement. But that is a bonus. It is good to know that the things I like doing are also good for me. This adds to the pleasure. A prime example is reading. This is my one great interest in life. I've read voraciously since I was a child. But I never read with the thought of improving myself. School was for improving myself -- and I hated school. Reading is for pleasure. If it makes me a better person, all the better for me.
