Each place has it's advantages. How does your shop or store do? Do you have any suggestions for having success? I'm thinking about starting a little etsy business. I hope that things work out. It is hard to be able to earn online. So I'm hoping that I will be able to make a little extra through my etsy shop. Thanks for suggestions.

I have had some success with Ebay. I don't always make a lot but I usually make a little bit of extra spending money, and that's what I'm looking for. Good luck with your Etsy shop! I wish I was creative enough to open one of those. lol

Every little bit helps right? I tried selling somethings on ebay but they didn't sell. I will try again in the future when I think that it is a good time to try and sell other items.

Selling in ebay could be great place where to start own business. But you must to take into account few things: 1) the competition is very hot. Your selling stuff must be different or exclusive from other things which you can find there, or your stuff need to be cheaper then similar things. But if you sell things which is already on the sail, you could touch with one more problem - other sellers, which will see the competitor in you will try to dump your business, for example, using fake accounts they will bid on your stuff and will not pay, or will leave bad comment. I have experienced it on my own skin and such kind of problems is very annoying! If such things happen on the start of your business, you could give up fast! In this case you need to be patient and consider that you could lose product or money (sometimes - both!) 2) when you are listing your product in ebay, you need to calculate all fees carefully. Ebay fee, paypal fee and shipping fee, if you will not calculate it with great deliberately, you will stay only in defeat! About etsy - I have not tried it, but it seems very great place where to sell things which you make yourself. If we compere this site with ebay, then in etsy you could place more higher price for your product than in ebay. There also is great concurrence, but it is 80% artist site, and everyone is willing to sell his own handwork for the price which he thinks it is worth! Also I can point that in ebay you have 50-100 chances to include your stuff without fees, in etay you willn't find such a thing. I hope my suggestions will help you with your business ideas! Enjoy the selling and good luck!

I have some success on eBay. I love doing it. But it's hard to find profitable merchandise.
