Do you actually believe that government can actually help you in medical needs?

I'm currently facing a heart problem. I am now a regular OPD patient in Hear Center. I've encountered a lot of patients depending on government support. I was just wondering if mylotters also trust government on times like this? Why and why not you should entrust yourself in government support?

If we are talking about the Philippine Government, I would NOT be trusting it to give me help on my medical needs. They are not even helping me in other needs that is supposedly given since i am a tax payer! I mean, this government only knows how to get money from us by means of getting if through taxes, etc... but they are not even thinking of giving them back to their people who have supported the government. There are no benefits, no health, no senior citizen benefits, no child care houses... this government seriously has got a lot of work to do!

Hi chiyosan, sorry for your frustration with the government. However, yes I was able to receive PCSO assistance worth 75thousand yet I wasn't able to use since my case according to the doctor will never be aided through balloon catheterization. I also receive assistance from the congressmen's offices around 25thousand. They can help but it's long process and you need backer for easy access which is the main problem of most of the patients who didn't even know how and where to get help.

In this case, in particular health problem...The government is indeed very important role in responsibility for public health. But the problem, in my country,Indonesia, The government did not provide full support in financing the treatment, but only partially. By the way, where are you come from ?

Hi luckygrey67...I'm from the Philippines. Sorry I didn't respond to your post right away. I've just got over from my frustration with the doctors who handle my case. I stopped visiting my cardio and going to the hospital. I was disappointed with the result they've given me. I am now clinging to God asking for a new heart.

Government can help in getting more people get medical care, and control expenses charged by Hospitals. However, they cannot take care of every need of ours.

Yes government can give assistance but you need some backer so you'll be able to easily access the government help which is wrong. The patients do not receive equal help. I hope it will be improved.
