I own a new barbershop in our area and so far, I still don't have a competitor near us. Since it's new, I only have few customers. I started advertising it in barrios near us and even go on web. What should I do to increase my customers? If you are my customer, what are you looking for to be satisfied? You suggestion is a big help to me.

I had recently closed my barber shop after the barber. my brother decide to stop working there.A barber's touch is very important in a barber shop. The barber must have the talent and good reputation to clients.Massage is an extra points if you agree w/ me.

You are right zearah. The barber is always the ace when we open a barbershop. Massage gets extra credit also. How about an air conditioned area? Or television placed at the shop? I think both counts too but is costly. But if the sales are less then we might get bankrupt.

The factors you mentioned are all essential to attract more clients but as for a start yet you have to at least balance the cost and service income. At break even you can step into a ladder and earn as the day passes by.

I have these suggestions for you: 1. Aggressively promote your shop by coming up with events or materials that will effectively put your business in your intended clients' mind. 2. Diversify your business. Come up with services that are in line with hair cutting. This will give you various sources of earning while giving an impression of being a "one-stop shop" to your clients. Most men value time, so give them services that they need once they hop on to your shop. 3. Think of how you can make your customers comfortable when they avail of your services. This will also include the reputation, technical and inter-personal skills, and flexibility of your hired barbers. 4. Assess if your location is accessible and convenient to your intended clients.

These are good suggestions jer, I'll take noted on this. I am currently planning on having discounts on my coming wife's birthday. And also looking ahead for future discounts for year 2012.
