As always Indian bowlers were hammered left right and center by the batsmen lesser known in international circuit in the first practice match of the Australian tour against Cricket Australia Chairman's Eleven being played at Canberra. Put in to bat after winning the toss C.A.C.E. scored 398/6 and declared the innings at the end of the day, Robinson 143 and Cooper 182 N.O. were the two main scorers. Yadav took 3 wickets of 15 overs giving away 39 runs while Ozha took 2 for 149 of 25.3 overs, the third wicket taker being Vinay Kumar who took 1 for 89 of 17 overs. Ishant Sharma bowled 5.3 overs for just 7 runs. Appears to have been injured as he left his 6th over incomplete. Hope it is not serious or else that would be serious blow to India. Hope Indian bowling improves as they get accustomed to the conditions there.

As i was thinking, bowling is key factor in INDIA and Australia matches. INDIA have young unexperince bowlers and most of them playing first time there. This score seems no undifferent to me. One thing also i noticed that the Dhoni didn't let bowl ishant more and let unexperince bowlers do have bowl there. This is good this will help them get upto the situation in the austrailia and help them play well in upcoming matches. I hope bowlers will learn alot from this 3 day match and will deliver good in main matches.

Hi rajeev, First of all Dhoni is not playing today, Dravid is captaining the side in his absence. Secondly I think Ishant Sharma is injured and that is why he could bowl only 5.3 overs. Ojha has completed his unfinished over. I hope he is not seriously injured. I hope Indian bowling will look much better when Zaheer and Ashvin are back in the side. Ashvin was rested to day and both the spinners Ojha and Sharma have been hammered badly.

Thank you bragadish. Let us hope that Ishant has not injured himself badly and things will change for better when Zac returns. Our both spinners Ozha and Sharma have also been hammered badly, let us hope things will change when Ashwin comes to bowl. Cheer up friend and hope for the best.

I am actually not really worried about the fact that they got hammered in the tour opener. What really worried me is the Ishaant's injury. He is the spearhead of the pace attack. And if he is out injured that seriously dents India's chances to win!! Cheers! Ram

well msdivkar Indian bowling is the weak link for team India. I am very disappointed the way selectors are treating the bowlers. Why selectors show no interest in bowling department, they never plan for the future. Why Balaji was ignored and Irfan Pathan as well. Ishant Sharma is injured and he needed surgery but they took him to Australia for a long tour. The result will be either he will broke down in the middle of the tour or he will be hammered by Australian batsmen because he cannot bowl the pace that he use to generate usually. Selectors have to serious train 50 odd bowlers in MRF pace foundation and try them for different serious. Taking too many new bowlers with no experience in Australia is big risk and in this serious only batsmen have to play outstanding game to win any match. It was average performance by bowlers against C.A.C.E. Hope to see better performance from bowlers in the first test which will start on the boxing day..

Hey...this has always been the case. its the same old story repezting itself evry now and then. I think the indian team think tank never understands this, though not sure how that works. Indians never had great fast bowlers and do not know the reasons why??? A quality bowling attack would not have suffered such a fate, though there were some encouranging stats in Yadav's bowling...lets hope these guys do well.

Well this the usual that happens everytime that we go abroad. Our bowleres usually get hammered in the tour games, but we do get better once the real games start. SO I wont be lookig too much into this, but only take the positives that our bowlers got some bowling experience and Yadhav impressed. But the worrying factor is Ishant's injury. Though he may not be as good as he was, he still can pose one or two problems on lively pitches with his bounce and those inswingers. Hope the injury is not serious and he was withdrwan merely as a precaution.Hope the Indian batsemen gt some runs too now and get good time in the middle before the the real action starts.

Every Time When Indian Team going aboard some this his batting claps or sometime his bowling is not upto the mark, So its start a tour in Aus with the same way as they started in England, Hope for the best the same thing not happen with the batsman. Also the Injure of Ishant and Zaheer is main thing in this tour, has they are the top 2 bowler in indian point of view, Hope they recover soon and available for Ist Test match against Aus.
