There's just something a little off about raking leaves to Christmas music. I guess that's life in Wisconsin! :~D

True, but you can't rake leaves with a snowblower either ;~D

Hi ted, You ought to live here in New England! We had a White Halloween with snow up to my knees! Now the grass is greener than ever! The weather is wacked here. I go to work at 2pm and it is so warm that a jacket is uncomfortable. By 5pm...it will be freezing and maybe snowing. I can go out for a break at 8pm and it will be comfortable. I love it to be honest...all the changes and never knowing what to expect even if you listen to the forecast. I love all our weather but a White Christmas is special. All year long, I just like the lack of prediction but on Christmas...I like the snow. No....I LOVE the snow. Its the only time I put in a weather request. One year we got thunderstorms in January. It's very unusual here and it was right about the time that we invade Iraq. If you can imagine, I awoke from a sound sleep thinking, " OMG..this is it...someone finally pushed that button!"

I agree - it's not quite right somehow to rake leaves listening to Christmas music. It snowed here before the leaves were even off the trees, but that brought them down. There's still snow on parts of the lawn, so the leaves are still there and may be there come spring at this rate.

That would definitely be discombobulating to me! I don't rake my leaves, though, I let them sit till spring and then run the mower over them several times. My neighbors say I have the greenest, healthiest grass in the neighborhood. I had thought it would snow by now--we've had flurries to day but nothing to stick. It really doesn't feel as if it should be this close to Christmas!
