Someone is always sick around here.

Maybe it's just our age, but someone is always just going into the hospital or coming out. And then there are the ones who haven't gone to the Doctor yet but need to go. It's been foggy and gray, very cold and if you add all that to the sickness, I want a flight to the tropics, please. But as all things do, this will pass and soon Spring will be here and bring hope to all. Blessings and prayers for all who need a little help these days.

Is this all because of the cold you go into the hospital?
I also can't stand the cold so in a few hours I will leave to a warmer place for some weeks. Let's hope if I come back I won't starve for cold again and all my health problems are back :-( I feel for all of you and keep my fingers crossed.

Yes, there are times in everyone's life I think where you all will feel like when it rains it pours, and nothing is going right, or will ever go right, and will you ever get out of this jam. I know myself I have been there myself many times. Would be nice if somehow things could open up for the Best and change. All I can say is yes, this too shall pass and it will be worth it all.

Hi savypat, At this time of year, I blame it on the short days and my family doctor agrees with me. I know we don't get enough sunshine. Sometimes I think I was meant for Florida, but the stork made a mistake and dropped me off in Canada. lol! Blessings.

This seems to be the case in our household as well during the winter season. The kids have both just gotten over a stomach bug and I've been dealing with a lot of depression that I think is due in large part to the lack of sunlight during this part of the year. And then there is my husband who is set to start radiation for the lymphoma next week.
I can only hope that next year will be a lot better year for our family health wise, I don't know that I can tolerate going through another year like this one.

I know that I am feeling under the weather right now, but I am hoping that I am not truly sick because that would really stink if I am.

Hospitals become our second home when we reach certain age and when the circle of life is closing up. Old age diseases likes to lick on aging bodies as our defence system could no longer maintain the years of used and abused of our bodies. Coupled with the unkind weather, we are fast going down with all kind of sicknesses. We in the tropics are not exempted from falling sick.

I hope your blessings and prayers reach this far--my 90 year old dad just got out of the hospital and it doesn't look as if we'll have him much longer. He's lived a long life and the last 40 years were very, very happy with my stepmother so I know it'll soon be time for him to cross over but I just hope it is quick and as painless as possible.
Lots of sickness around here, too, for all ages. Thank God I seem to be immune to nearly everything, He has blessed me with good health. I, too, will be glad to see the Spring even though we haven't really had winter yet!
Stay well!

I am from the tropics and just recently, came back from my vacation in winterland. Savypat,I understand what you are going through. During my vacation, I had to wrap up myself to protect from the cold and windy weather. It was crazy of me but I wanted to experience the winter and snow and fortunately, my body managed to quickly adapt to the cold weather. But it was less than 3 weeks and I missed the sun and its warmth and now I'm thinking about the beggars begging in the cold streets that I saw there and I feel for you, the elderly folks. Well, my advice, take vitamin C regularly and make sure the vitamin is from natural source. Also, chew some ginger to warm your body especially when the weather turns extraordinary cold. Take one or two spoonfuls of Virgin coconut oil as the oil helps to retain your body heat and you'll feel less cold. Try these remedies and hope these help you.
