Have you decorated your Christmas tree yet? Tonight me, my husband, our daughter and my husbands cousin are going to decorate our Christmas tree. We are all looking forward to make it our own tree for the first time. I don't like fake trees so we got a real one this weekend and now it's ready to go. I can't wait to put our daughter first ordeminte.

We have our fake one still lying in the basement, it's my and my sisters' job to decorate it, so we're going to do it soon now. It's really a nice event, decorating the tree, usually my mother makes some pancakes or cookies and then we eat and enjoy the whole Christmas spirit and every year we invent a new funny way to decorate the tree.

That sounds like fun. I don't like fake trees so we have the real thing. We just finished declaring our tree for the first year it looks really good better then the little fake one from last year.

We live in a two story apartment last year we had a fake tree I hated it was my husband fake tree from college it couldn't stand t that and it took up space through out the whole year. At least with the tree this year when we are done I can throw it away and don't have to worry about storage at all. I'm the anit fake tree person of my husband side of the family. My parents still get a year tree we had a real tree when all of us were in an apartment for 2 years.

Well we live in a small flat so it's quite inappropriate and not natural for us to have a real tree, too much bugging around it, it's simplier like this, and the one we're having has a lot of years so it's like a part of the family for Christmas :)

I got mine decorated the weekend after Thanksgiving. I use an artificial tree for a number of reasons, but one good one is that I can leave it up for six weeks or so without it drying out. Actually, I decorated it three times. I bought some LED lights, then forgot to put them on, so I undid everything and put them on. Then I didn't like the way they looked, so I took it all off and put on the old lights...

I do like real trees and I miss having one, but it just isn't practical (or even possible some years) for me any more. Enjoy your tree for me!

I have never liked fake tress we had one last year it was depressing for me. I live the real thing for the hunt of the perfect tree and the smell. It's a fun family thing that I've done as a child and up. So I'm the one that pushes for the real thing ever year out of the family and you get steals as it gets closer to Chirstmas. I'm never in the Chirstmas spirit till get in to December and that is normally the second week I'm ready for Chirstmas.

I've missed out on the tree decorating this year! In the house I share with my friends we haven't got one as we won't be spending the actual Christmas here but with our families. My parents told me at the weekend that the big real one we get every year was already up and decorated! I was a bit disappointed as I'm normally back to help decorate it even though I'm 23!! My boyfriend has a little fake one that he hasn't put up yet and I'm going to his tomorrow so I guess that will have to do!

When me and my sister were small, about 3 and 5 we would help decorate the tree but because we were small we would put the decorations all at the same height! After we went to bed my parents had to redecorate it!

Why didn't you comment with your post to this discusstion instead of undersome one else post because what you said seems a bit out of places since we are talkig about tree decorating and not when you celebrated Christmas?

We haven't put up a Christmas tree this year. I don't miss it. We will be doing Christmas eve and Christmas day at a family member's house and they have a tree, so I will still enjoy the tree. I would love a tree and have it up all year long... but since I can't do that... I will be satisfied to just see it on those two days and enjoy them.

I'm too much of a tree bugger to kill a tree for Christmas. Cutting it kills it. I won't even pick flowers. Color me weird, but I just can't do it. We have an artificial tree but rarely put it up. We just never get to it. It's pretty when it's up but we just don't do it. We had the tree up last year. It was beautiful. I would live the tree up all year long, not just on Christmas But when it is stored away we just don't bother to get it out again.

The trees for Christmas are from tree farms they raise them all year for this and then take the seeds from the trees and replant them. Everything has to die at someone point in life and I would rather a tree cut down for decoration then for buildings taking away from animals. To each there own have there own ways of celebrating Christmas. With out a real tree it's not the same I hate going to my husbands grand parents house there trees are so lifeless with there fake essex also the fake that they only decorated one side of the tree it looks weird and a bit tacy.

As I won´t be home for Christmas (I´m going to one of my daughter´s home and we will all gather there) I did not decorate a Christmas tree. But I placed the gifts as soon as I wrapp them on a small table on I placed some Christmas decoration in that part of the room.

we had our christmas tree decorated first week of december, christmas tree decorating is not really a family tradition for us, so, who is available is the one who decorates it, this year, its my sister who had done the decorations.

It's really a joy for people in all ages to decorate the Christmas tree.During the process, the grown-ups would gradually forget their pressure and tiredness in their work, and their minds would be influenced by the relaxed, romantic and warm atmosphere created by the "childish" Christmas tree, they can be happy even like children. So far I haven't decorated my Christmas tree yet.But I would try to have a Christmas tree in this Christmas holiday and decorate the tree with my friends. It's a real comfort for the mind!

We had a good time it's more fun watching little kids get excited about decorating there real or fake trees with there family. My daughter tried to take the lights off and play with them. She likes the bright lights when they are on that and it's different having a tree in the house onces a year with all this color on it to her.
20 Dec 11
well in a place like mine we don't have real pine tree to use as Christmas tree, we use to have a plastic made Christmas tree. but after my mom,my sister and dad live abroad. only 3 of use left here i don't feel like doing the Christmas things like decorating. well it was the first time doing this its just that i felt lonely doing it alone unlike before almost all of use doing it. maybe next year i might.but well i do have plans for Christmas dinner though.

I have not decorated my Christmas tree yet. I just came back a few days ago from my vacation and thought about my Christmas tree. Tomorrow, I hope, after cleaning my house, will put out and decorate it. Christmas time is a few days away, oh, there's so much to do! I can't wait to hang the Scottish doll that I got while vacationing in Scotland. May we all have a blessed and bright Christmas!

I saw a documentary over the weekend about the pros and cons for a real and fake tree. It said that for a fake tree to be worthwhile, you'd have to use it at leas 20 years. We have a fake tree. We need to use it for 17 years more, at least. And we've already decorated it during the first week of December.

Sure they last longer then a real tree but they don't smell or feel like a real tree at all. I don't like them at all they are not worth while for me ive always had a real tree and it's staying that way for a very long time for me. Much more fun to deflate a real tree then a fake tree I've declared fake trees and nothing special about then. Getting out and going with family to fond one that is worthwhile to do that and if you wait long enough they get cheaper as it gets closer to Chirstmas.

We've done with our Christmas decorations already. I think decorating the Christmas tree is the most fun and exiting part of all. I'm glad that you really make your own tree. I guess that would be great. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

We get a real tree every year since I was little and decorate it and now with my own family we do the same thing. We don't have much on it because we add to year to year new stuff on it.

My wife likes us to put our tree up right after Thanksgiving. I haven't been into the Christmas spirit lately, but I love that she enjoys it. We have an artificial tree. It's sort of a tradition. We intentionally let the paint on the ends of the fake branches scrape off over time so that there's some mystery to putting the tree together properly. I'm not sure why, but it's more fun that way. It's sort of like, "I don't think that branch goes there," or "doesn't that side of the tree look a little funny to you?"

I have never liked fake trees I like the real thing in my house. That's early for a tree I don't feel like it's Chirstmas till Mid December. I know ita goin to be fun to decorate and it's not that tall either. Tall enough to look good and to have fun with. We wait long eblnough before Chirstmas the tress get really cheap around where I live.
