today i was watching this video "all i want for christmas is u" by this child singer rhema marvanne..then towards the end, as i was looking and listening part of the lyrics caught me and just touched me and it made me cry...the lyrics goes like this "daddy all i want for christmas is you"..it made me cry because i relate to it for my child..it's like i see rhema as my child and then she sings this song..that she don't want any presents or anything on christmas but just to see her daddy and to be with him is all she wants..it touched my heart and made me cry..i think that sometimes there are songs that make us cry when we listen to it..there are some songs whose lyrics touch me and brings tears to my eyes....when i listen intently and i can relate to the message or what the song is all about..do you also have this feeling? do you also cry when there is a song or songs you listen that on listening it touched your heart and suddenly it just brought tears to your eyes?

yes of course you will cry especially if that songs has meaning for you and it relates in your life. It also depends on the delivery of the songs by that artist.

you're right,..another one of those songs that make me cry every time i listen to it was this ballad "reflections" by mariah carey..also it has something to do with how mariah delivers the song along with the very sad story the song tells about an orphaned child...

Song that made me cry are mostly Christian songs. It really touches the deepest part of me as a human being. And when i cry i said to myself "Lord, Im sorry for all the wrong doing that i have done again and again".

I love music, and I don't think that there are any stronger things in our lives that can give us such huge amounts of emotion without us even having to do anything. I love putting the radio on and listening to the songs that are on there. I always buy the music that I enjoy listening to on the radio and put it on my iPhone so then I am able to listen to it whenever I want to do so. Music is one of the only things that we can rely on. It will always be there, even when people fail us and we have nothing else that we are able to turn to.

Hi jadoixa, You are right, there are songs, when we hear it, it makes us feel sad. We relate to the song. I've seen rhema marvanne on you tube. She sings gospel songs. This child will become a great singer as she grows up. She's got an expressive voice. Songs that are sung by singers with good voices have a way of touching our hearts.

Songs get you all emtional, I know some of the people I know are emotional when listening to songs as well. but personally, I have only cried at times listening to music specially when i have "relationship" problems, and the songs that i hear are break up songs, which really gets me down on some days.

Songs can do that, play with our emotions, the song "do They Know its Christmas" does the same to me, I love that song so much.

I had a couple of songs from the movie theme, like "secret Garden" from Jerry McQuire, and other songs from other movies, which really touched my heart every time I listen to it. I might cry whenever my heart go sentimental. It is normal feeling for us when we were touched by the scene in our head. I listen to those songs from time to time, and sometimes, it really makes me cry though.

Usually just a song won't do this to me unless it really relates to my life. But if I watch music videos, they can really get to me. Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" video was really sad and made my eyes get a little watery. Another recent video that made me cry was Taylor Swift's "Ours". At the end of it, she went to the airport to meet her boyfriend that just got back from the army. It was something that got me really sad because my boyfriend is leaving in a few months for the army. Some music videos can be really sad and that's what gets me. Most of the time I'll be fine just listening, but some videos are just so sad they make you cry.

There are really songs that can you to tears. The reason why they have this effect is that you can relate to what is it said. As artists write the song, it is also based on their experiences and observations that even the words can really speak to you. I am usually moved to tears by the songs of inspiration by the Jesuit Music Ministry. They have lots of songs that really can make one cry. I have many favorite songs from this group because they express my own experience of God, of life.
