how to promote a website free?

I have created a website few weeks ago..but i don't have any idea to promote this site to generate income..Can anyone suggest me some site or ways to promote a website..and get a huge traffic to a site totally free?

you can register to traffic exchange site. you can get much traffic for your blog there.

You are very free to promote your websites. Its either you tell it to your friends for them to visit it. Also you can do it online through traffic exchange sites like easyhits4u. This site also pays you. You still have to view other sites from their sites and from that you earn credits.
