Surely, you'll agree that in every positive experiences, we encounter negative ones as compensation for them. That's how the Wheel of Life (as I would love to call it) really is. Have you noticed that during the times we enjoy ourselves, we can't help but be a little bit pessimistic about returning to our old lives: school, work, responsibilities?? Rings a bell? Life has its ups and downs, to put it simply. ~You go on a vacation to have the time of your life, and you go to work the next couple of days. ~You spend time with friends on a night out, then you worry about that report you have to submit the next day. ~You get hired for a job, then the actual work kicks in. There are certainly highs and lows for everything we experience. Even taking a poop has its highs and lows. You'll have to worry about getting up and washing your butt. With that being said, we do have a workaround (or workarounds coz there are really a lot of ways to deal with these) for us keeping ourselves positive every moment of the day. I don't know if you know the term Selective Amnesia. It's basically remembering only the stuff that you wanna remember. It's like having a trauma but slightly milder. In a trauma, in most cases, you don't really have a choice. Your subconscious mind is in-charge of what memories you're going to remember. With Selective Amnesia, you can choose which experiences you want lingering in your head, and eliminating the bad ones. This thing actually works. With the help of NLP's (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) anchoring technique (just google this technique), you can instantly remember the good memories everytime you're automatically shifted to a bad one. Just wanna inform everyone of this simple, but effective method. Don't wanna have people getting out of the bathroom feeling negative about taking a poop.

You're surely an optimist and that's great. I like to think or act like this also as much as I can! As they say, there's always a silver lining beneath a dark cloud.

Yep. But even if there isn't, I always choose to search for one.

I am not familiar with that technique, but I think I might be doing something similar since I always start thinking of something positive when unpleasant memory comes up. Though, I rarely remember the stuff I don't want to.

Maybe. Well, if it's working great for, I suggest you don't change anything, then.
