In my opinion if you too often using sleeping medicine, your body will adjust to it and you can’t sleep without it anymore. Have you consider your diet? Some foods may cause insomnia and like coffee, it’s better to not drink it after lunch time, because it will be in your system for 6 hours. You may want to try NLP Brainwaves called sound sleep. Simply put your headphones on ot stereo speaker on in your bedroom playing that delta waves, it will induce your brain to sleep. I think it's better to use NLP that sleeping pills which could make you to depended on them.

Never. I'm VERY lucky to have learned a little trick that works for me: steady breathing. Not deep, just regular, steady breathing. It feeds more carbon dioxide into the blood and, therefore, to the muscles. This causes them to "go to sleep" and, once your body goes to sleep, your brain follows!

Firstly popping pills for sleep is addictive and unhealthy. Please stop doing that or at least let a Doctor prescribe them for you. You need to analyze why you have these bouts. Remove the causative factor and you will have a restful sleep. Food habits also play a big part in sleep. A high carbohydrate diet in the evenings causes onset of sleep early. A relaxing walk also helps. Restricted fluid intake, particularly aerated sodas also help. Meditation has been there for insomnia from ages. Try these for a healthy change.

I do have insomnia too and that's the reason why I am normally up til 2-2:30AM. And usually when I am thinking of some problems I'd still be up til I don't know, I hate checking the time as I will find it more hard to get to sleep. I'd be just lying in the bed, eyes shut but minds awake. I never tried taking sleeping pills, I don't wanna rely on it.

Hi, there. I sometimes get insomnia, but I don't take the sleeping pills cos I don't have it at home and don't want to buy it by myself. I think it's not healthy for long used. Whenever I get insomnia, I'll call my friend and talk to them over the night till I feel sleepy cos we have the same problems too, insomnia. The second option is by reading any books I had since I love read so much, it makes me feel great cos I can do my favorite activity. The last thing is by doing online on mylot, FB or another net media. They have many enjoyable things to do and could make feel sleepy after some hour being tired playing it. Sorry for not helping you as your need, hope you could defeat your insomnia healthier next.
