When my first husband left me 7 months pregnant and with a 17month old toddler I had to come up with ways to pay my bills. In the 70's you never heard of WIC or Food Stamps or asking for welfare. You figured out how you were going to work and provide for your family. So I met this couple that ran a plaster shop. I taught myself how to paint the plaster. I worked as a nurses aide after I had my second baby and after I made my first set of bunny plaques for the girls room, I sadly had to take them down and sell them for diapers for my babies. Took them to a craft mall that was 20 miles away. Everyone would accept consignment and no one would pay outright for them. God was with me that night. There was a very small shop that had nothing but baby items and I finally left them with her on consigment asking only 2.50 for the pair. As I got home my phone was ringing and she had sold 7 pairs since I had left! So I did plaster for about 6 months. then next to our post office was a ceramic shop. Again I bought each of my daughters something and learned how to make these ceramic cups. When I met my husband 3 years later, he bought me a used kiln and I set up my own shop in my basement. I sold through all my children doing craft shows, and even learned how to wholesale and retail. This was my business for 25 years even while I went back in the Army Reserves during Desert Storm and having 3 more children and going to school to become an EMT. I kept my business so I could stay home with my children and be a mom until all of them were in school. Only then did I finally take a look outside of my home for a day job in which I still sold to 7 different florist shops even after I worked various other positions.

Well, I do have an online/offline Business and have to work for someone else. Eventually I would Love for the Business to make enough to where I can just eventually focus on just that. Due to the Economy it is a hard go, but the extra I am making is a plus. It has always been my Dream to have my own store or Business that is successful.

Wow I started this thread a month and a half ago, and by that time I have no Idea how can I earn online, but thanks to mylot, i have learnt a lot so much, and now I am earning online, its a great addition to our sari-sari store, this is a great combination, my sari-sari store earning enough to supply our basic needs. and an earning online to supply some luxury items.... Thanks to all... and most importantly to our GOD for giving us a wonderful life.

Well, I have always wanted to own my own little storefront, and have my own store since I was growing up. I have had a Business license for a couple of yrs. now and even though it is not as profitable as I would like along with my regular job and the money I earn from other online income, it sure helps. Have goals and dreams to get into a storefront still instead of doing shows, or doing the Sales from my home, but this will come in time.

Putting up a traditional business is a good way to earn a small profit just to help you pay your bills, but not to get you rich. you need to multiply your sari-sari store so the you have multiple income just like a franchise, but if you have a small capital you can't do that, and you said the online income will make you rich i doubt it can.You just working alone the key word here is multiply yourself to get your potential income that you want. That would surely makes you happy and rich, just like Ray Kroc he multiple his self for every franchise, he get a royalty out each franchise. hope you like my response.

A sari sari store can only just make you stable in living your life. If you want a better lifestyle then it will really not be sufficient in supporting the lifestyle you want. But at least it's decent and self-sustaining. To start up a sari sari store, you will need to have more than 10,000 pesos and should look for a strategic place to open it up. I have found a great business that only needs a thousand and a little effort at first for you to be able to have an above average lifestyle. Exciting isn't it?
