I think the key to be a successful writers is by simply know or able to read what reader expected from our writing..Even just simple article, people like to put bombastic or attractive title in order to get high traffic or massive visitors on their sites..However, many times I encountered that the contains is not like we are expected and wasting our time to read..I think the first paragraph is the most important one, in order to catch people attention and continue to read until the end of articles..I think the same think applicable for book, people will not buy our book if they are not interested at all with the contains..So the problem is how to ensure the reader will like our writing..How to care about readers mind? What do you think?

Title are the eye-catcher while the first paragraph is the reader-catcher. It is the first paragraph that the reader decides whether to continue reading or go elsewhere. So make sure that your first paragraph will really connect to your reader. Go directly to the point (or else, your reader will get tired because of those flowery words). Moreover, you need to make sure that the succeeding paragraphs also contribute to the main idea of your selection and make sure that the conclusion excellently concluded the selection. Hope this helps! :)

Well, you are absolutely correct..the title sometimes is just an eye catching sentence, but it is also important to have those kind of title otherwise your reader even will never read your first paragraph..However, we must really serious when it comes to write the first paragraph like you said..

You're right! Title comes first, first paragraph comes second, while the rest my friends is what makes the reader comes back... Did you know that my style of writing is molded like how things are being said in Discovery Channel (Asia). Because since I was in my childhood, I often watch Discovery Channel and so my style of writing patterned like how things are being said in Discovery Channel. You might observed that my writings has the same feel of like talking to someone else (don't like formal writing that much though)... How about you? :)
