Australia Big Bash - Odd timings

Hey...Australia's Big bash is underway, their official T20 championship, and just like the IPL almost all of Australia's team players would be/ or are already playing in the championship. This tournamnet is exactly the opposite of the Test arena and Australia better be ready and prepared for their 4 test series against India. Looking at recent history Australia look vulnerable in their batting so the players should be in the pre test preparatory camp rather than playing in Big bash.. Isn't the timing of Big bash a bit odd considering the recent form in test considering India's series an important one....
