make note cards for extra money

What art or craft do you make to bring in extra money? I can draw fairly well, so I take photos of the old buildings in town and use the grid method of drawing them. You blow up the photo to a full page and print it out on your computer/printer. Then draw a simple grid with half inch lines. Make a similar grid on a blank sheet of paper and transfer the buildings on the photo onto the blank sheet with a pencil. Then add the smaller details (a lot of detail is not necessary). Then go over the pencil drawing with a black felt tip pen. Scan your drawing, or use your cell phone to digitize it in pdf format. Then print it out on the bottom half of light card stock. Fold that in the middle and you have a note card. Now, do 12 of these drawings of the old buildings and churches in your town, put a set of 12 in a zip-lock bag with envelopes, and make a stick-on label with a title or description and a $6 price. Sell them to local restaurants and shops for $3 each. You will be restocking them every month for many years. You can also put color photos of these old buildings on the card if you don't draw, but original artwork sells better, I think. What are or craft do you make to bring in extra money?

Very good suggestion. Thanks for sharing. One of the things that makes this idea appealing is that you do some of the work away from the computer. This sounds like a wonderful idea.
