No matter how tired I am or how hard I try I cannot fall asleep!! HELP!!!

December 25, 2011 5:39am CST
I am a single mother of a 2 year old boy who wakes up everyday at 7am sharp. For as long as I can remember I have always had trouble falling asleep but lately it seems to get worse and worse. It is currently 6:34am and the last time I actually slept was 2 days ago. Having to be up with my son every morning without sleep causes me to get frustrated quicker with him. I need advice on how to fix this problem before it turns into weeks with no sleep! I have tried warms baths, scented candles, soothing music, even shutting everything off and laying in bed until I pass out but nothing has been working. PLEASE help me figure this out for the sake of my child and also to stop the ridiculous amount of gray hair I am getting from stressing out over this!

I feel so sorry about you :( Maybe if you do some exercises just before going to bed, you would tired psychically, not just mentally. Perhaps you are so stressed, that your brain fears to sleep, in that case you should go to a mental expert. Best wishes!!

i read that exercising might not help fall asleep, but that exercising actually gives you energy. I do agree that it may be stress that could be causing the insomnia. It also may be the food that you are eating. Maybe you can think about or write dwn the foods you are eating prior to bed time, which may causing you problems going to sleep at night Have you considered taking sleeping pills at local pharmacy?

I think you have to relax your mind first, cos you seems too stressed with all of your life way. If you have relax it you would be able to sleep easier. Simply, you have to solve the basic reason in order to get the best solution. Sorry for not helping much. Hope you sleep easier and enjoy your life.

It seems you've tried everything, and did not work. maybe, I can recommend you to follow Hypnotherapy to overcome your sleep problems before it's too late and become increasingly severe. Using sleeping pills or tranquilizers to treat insomnia is risky decision.
