Volleyball is one of the known sports here in the Philippines. The game is quite hard to play especially when you are a beginner to this game. You need to possess power and coordination in this type of game. Teamwork and focus is also essential in volleyball. Volleyball is taught at our college school. In the first half of our semester, we were taught to play basketball. But now, in the last half of our semester, we will be taught to play volleyball. I am quite excited because I had not played volleyball for a long time. The last time I played volleyball was when I was in fourth year high school. I do hope I could still spike and serve the ball. I will use my height as an advantage. My dear friends and fellow mylotters, were you taught also to play volleyball when you were still studying? What can you say about it? Is it fun to play it? What do you think are the benefits you can derive from playing volleyball?

I remember learning to play volley ball when I was in the 5th grade I think. It was a real tough job lol and I would have swollen arms and they would be red lol but it was fun. And I have also been hit by the ball so many times haha good old days.

I should not be hit by the ball this time. I have an eyeglass so it might be broken if I will hit by the ball. I think I will purchase contact lens now in order to avoid untoward incident.

I learned to play volleyball with a few friends and at school. I liked the sport as soon as I started playing at reasonable level and I got into a team as soon as I could. We were bad, but we had fun playing, which was our goal. The year after that, I went to cegep and started playing at a higher level with a good coach who helped me a lot. I started as a setter and moved on to being a libero and a part-time hitter. I don't play anymore because I've had a severe concussion from a collision with a teamate and I really miss it. There are lots of benefits to playing volleyball, you learn a lot about teamwork, communication, you get to let go of the stress and stay healthy by doing some sport.

When I was in high school, we did have a unit in physical education that was a volleyball unit. This is a game that I was never really good at, but it was something that I can say that I really enjoyed. I think that the reason that I really enjoy playing volleyball is because of the fact that it was a game that both of my parents played when I was younger. However, I always had a hard time with having a ball that was coming toward my head.

Volleyball is my sport. I used to play it since I was elementary. Back then I was tin and short so I was not that good in playing volleyball. But since this is my game I improved more. I do play alone practicing myself, spiking the ball in the wall. As time goes by I'm learning and be able to play a lot more better. I used to join Intrams in our school since elementary until college. Then as the Varsity team formed when I was at 2nd high school I try out and got in the team. I improved more and taught more since then with my team here in our subdivision we joined in the SK- Barangay Competition and also joined the Varsity on College. It was really my game that is why I make sure to join different games, I love volleyball that is why whenever there is volleyball I want to be involved. It is also my exercise I really give all my best when I'm playing my game.

Back in high school, I played the sport only during an intramural or a sportsfest especially when it was a mixed team of guys and girls. It wasn't really that popular for guys. I mean, we were more into football or basketball. But I played decent games. And it was fun. But I think I'll be a spectator. I find it more fun watching the games than playing it :)
