i think you guys had experienced this before, I hope youcan relate with me.
You are a fan of a certain movie series,on its every sequel a certain actor or actress plays the role of your favorite character, then suddenly a new sequel happens,in that sequel a different star is playing your favorite character and that replacement didnt give justice to the role.
There are also incidents in TV shows, the actress or actor playing characters leaves the show, instead of killing the character, the character will have plastic surgery so a different actor or actress will play him her.
James Bond had been played by different actors and everytime there is a new James Bond the fans of the previous James Bond complains.
In Cartoon show ,you have a favorite character, suddenly that character sounds different because a different dubber is now voicing him her.

Right now I am so mad and angry, because my favorite female videogame character of all time changes her motion capture model (motion capture model is a model who is the character is designed after.)

for 10 years Julia is Jill's face and Body,everytime Jill is in a Resident evil game,her likeness is in Julia's likeness and appearance. Jill had many costume changes through out the Resident evil games were she is present but Julia had been her face. Its Julia's face that makes her Iconic.

Then out of the sudden for no reason, The creator of Resident evil Games, decided to change Jill's face, Capcom decided to end their contract with Julia and they decided to hire a new Model to play Jill, This is Jill's new Face:

I am so mad, I hate that new Face, Fans are happy to have Julia as Jill, then out of a sudden they decided to choose a new model to play her. I hate Jill's new face, she looks like Randy Orton.
I can accept James Bond change actor every movie but I cant accept someone else playing Jill. I fell in love with the character Jill Valentine because of Julia Voth. After selling millions of copies of videogames, They will ditch Julia Voth for a new face fans never wanted nor requested,
I cant accept this change... I hate it!!!!! I'm mad!!

That feeling, I know it. It happens all the time in soap operas - the one soap I watch, the announcer ever goes right at the start "so-and-so is now played by blah-blah" whenever a new cast member is put in. Fun times.
I know how you feel about Jill being revamped and given a new face. Hey, I'm still trying to come to terms with the new character design for Dante from Devil May Cry (though I guess I'm grateful he doesn't look like a walking corpse if the recent trailer says anything). Seems Capcom likes to put us through a lot of heartache when they work on their franchises, those punks (but no, the developers even knew us fans would throw a hissy fit and they still changed him up dramatically auuugghh). At least Jill still kind of resembles her old model, just ... not as much. That makes little sense outside of my head.
In my younger days, I suffered much heartache at voice actors being changed on cartoons. I nearly wept the first time I heard the ... third or fourth (can't remember which) voice for Sailor Moon because she sounded like she was trying to hard to mimic the first couple of voice actresses' sound so she sounded like a nasally old woman with a bad accent. And don't get me started on the cast overhaul on the Pokemon series, not even touching on that one (oh yeah, I mad still).

I think Capcom intentionally angers their die hard fans cos they will but the game anyway despite of the controversy and the controversy attract those casual gamers. Many resident evil fans hated Residentevil 4but all their complaints and hate makes it popular to non resident evilfans. The casual audience is younger....and so we oldschool fans are thrown out of the bucket cos they think casuals can give them more money.
Obviously they changed Dante for the Twilight fans. Tameem must really like his reflection to make Dante resemble him. they also pissed of fans with DLC.,... I love a lot of money because of MVC3 and UMVC3...
dont buy an initial release of a capcom game, always wait for the "super" edition. fell for that many times.

Really though, Capcom is such a successful company as it is, and I know they're trying hard to draw in new players to various franchises, but angering all of the old fans is just a poor move on their part. Obviously the old fans would loyally stick to the company if they didn't blatantly ignore most everything that was being said to them. The old fans have proved loyal enough, and by doing all of this stupid stuff the company is alienating them.
... yeah, so on the Dante thing, I recall someone once saying on some message boards as he was going through some changes to his look since someone higher up was obviously listening to the raging fans, that he has gone from looking like Edward to Jacob. Ha. Ha. Ha. Sheesh, what is even happening anymore.

There is a saying for pretty much any fanbase that the fans will always be unpleasable, but Capcom has royally screwed up. There is a way to please fans, by listening to them, while trying to innovate with some new ideas and concepts, but man. I don't know, I'm not a game dev and I have no plans to be, but I think it would be a touch of common sense and respect to the fans.
I have a feeling that if DmC flops they will do one of two things, either call the game an experiment that is non-canon to the DMC universe and go back to the old ways, or they'll just drop the series entirely.

Yes, that happens, like one actor who got sacked in one TV series and he got replaced by another actor. I think that is a big problem to producers when that happens. The storyline changes and the scriptwriters need to justify the changes in the character.

the character have an accident, so he/she will have a plastic surgery and a new actress will play her, for some unknown reason, the surgery changed her height and body proportion too...

I am just curious waiting for the last sequel of Spider man. I didn't know what the tittle was. I heard that Tobey as spider man character would be replaced by another actor. I really wanted to know what the reaction of his audience presenting the spider man four. That would be a great challenge for new actor to play Tobey role from the last three sequel of the spider man movies. There must be pro and cons about the changes.

Do you think you can accept the new actor to be Spiderman,or is Tobey will always be Spiderman for you? are you going to give the new actor a chance?anyway they almost casted a black guy to play spiderman. I have nothing againts black people, I love them but I hate it when the races or genders of characters were being changed.,

Well I have never played the Resident Evil games so I wouldn't know about the face changing though thanks to the links you provided I could easily see why you would be upset about it. I personally hate watching cartoons or things and they change the actress or actor as well. My son loves this show called the Fresh Beat Band and the drummer left the show. Well they got a new person to play Marina and her voice, I feel, completely contrasts with the entire cast. Its like if you were to put a needle in a haystack. My little sister loved Winx Club but they even changed the voices on that. It is pointless to make a show and people to love it if you are changing the characters to better suit your needs. I mean seriously I can't wait to see the avengers movie that is coming out but I kind of liked Edward Norton playing David Banner and now they changed the actor. I'd probably boycott the movie if they stopped Robert Downey Jr. from playing Ironman though. He is the only reason I am going to even see the movie.

I have experiences with cartoons too, I think the producers can change dubbers without letting the fans know but sometimes they cant cover it up. its still easy to identify someone else is dubbing and it felt weird to see another voice actor doing the the job.
On the last The Mummy movie, Its so weird to see Rachel Weisz
I love the Hulk in comics, I hate that there is no continuity on him in the movies, he have the change actor every film.
Yeah its like a huge betrayal for the fans for sure,I ask Julia Voth at twitter on why they dont use her face anymore, she said that she always wanted to remain as the character's face, and she actually see her self as Jill but the company decides to change the character's face just for no reason, she didnt even ask for a raise in the contract.I guess company dumped her cos she is pursing acting.
