Have you or are you currently attending college? What has it been like for you? Do you live with parents or are you a person who has other responsibilities along with attending college? Have any suggestions for those who are planning to attend college? My husband will be going to college next fall. So there is a lot that we have to consider. Thanks for sharing your experience.

College is the time wherein you acquire more knowledge for your Profession. It is also the time wherein you get along with your future colleague. I think your husband will be responsible enough because he have a family and I know that he will do his best to finish college.

Thanks. I too hope that things will work out for us while he pursues this goal. It will take a lot of time and dedication. As he will have to go to college for along time. He wants to study premed and then go to medicial school. I just hope that we can make it through this time period (keeping up with bills, etc) while he is studying.

College can be fun, but it can also be hard work. I love to learn, so I enjoy school. But if you start to have trouble with your school work, you should probably get a tutor or help somewhere right away... because if you don't, it becomes like a "snowball effect" and everything gets complicated fast. I've had to drop a couple of classes because I got too far behind, what with work & family & all that. Will you be going to school too? Good luck to you & your hubby. :)

Thanks for sharing your experience with me. My husband is planning on starting college next fall. Perhaps in the future I will go to college but I'm not sure yet. Right now I'm trying to focus on being supportive of his college goals. He is smart he will just have to work hard to keep up with everything. He is going to be taking premed. So it will require a lot of studying. And like you mentioned it's not good to get behind.

I graduated college about 5 years ago or so and I lived on campus with roommates. My first few years it I had 1 roommate then my last year I had 3 other roommates. When I went to college I didn't have any other responsibilities. In a few years I am trying to go back to school and now it would be different because I have an appartment with my boyfriend and a fill time job so things will be harder. I think going to school with those added responsibilities makes you more responsible to do good and go to class to get that degree.

Yeah I think that added responsibilities does motivate a person to work harder in their schooling. I hope that we will be able to take care of everything that needs done to make his college experience as smooth as possible. Working fulltime and going to school I think would be difficult what I assume their are a lot of people who do it. We are hoping that he will only have to work part time. We will have to see how everything works out.

I regret my time in college, not because the college didn't treat me good, it is that I didn't really contribute my time and myself enough for all my college courses. I felt like I fail all of 4 1/2 years in college. I totally wasted my parents hard working money which used to pay for my college tuition. I am deeply regret of it. Actually, college can be a fun place, and learning ground for all age of people.

I'm sorry to hear that you regret your time in college. That must be really hard for you and your parents. Now that you look back on your college years do you wish that you would have perhaps majored in a different field? I think that knowing what a person wants to do for the rest of their life at a young age can be difficult. A lot of the time when a person is older they change or want to do something different.

I'm happy for you. That you were able to go to college and enjoy it. There really is so much to learn? How long did you go for and what was your major? I'm sure that you as well made new friends and hope that you are able to keep in touch with them now that you are out of college.
