Good deeds today..

Today I think I'd been good for more than a couple of times. In the morning when I took the public transport, a blind man whose right arm wasn't there, together with a woman, took the public transport I was taking. In spite of his disabilities, he was still carrying with him a very old amplifier which looked heavy, his harmonica, and a can dangled around his neck obviously for the coins or money that people would give him. He was obviously on his way to a place where he will be positioned by the woman with him, so he could "work" using the only thing he knows, playing his harmonica and hoping that people would toss him a few coins. Since I was the first one to get off, I did not forget to put some money in his still-empty can. I heard him say "Thank you" when I got off the vehicle. I was feeling good about the outcome of my solicitations for sponsorship to an event we are sponsoring so I felt like sharing it with those who I saw needed it. When I left the first office I went to, there outside the gate was another man bringing his ukelele, obviously going around caroling. I scooped some coins from my bag and handed the money to the caroler. This afternoon, as I was taking my snack, a girl, around 10 years old, came to sell peanuts. After asking her if she is attending school, etc., I bought from her several bags of peanuts. It does feel good to give back the good things that you receive from others. How about you? Have you also done your own share of giving and sharing?

hi cutie18f
I appreciate your good doings. I know how you felt after you did those acts. Whenever I do good things with the people around me, I feel like I am on cloud 9. The feeling is very pleasant. It is so good to help others. I understand now what it means by it is better to give than to receive. You mentioned of people who are unfortunate with their life because of their poverty and when they meet people who have concern with them, they feel loved and special. I hope that there will be more persons who will be like you. I hope everyone will be generous enough to give foods and anything that can help unfortunate people without expecting anything in return. While responding to your post, I remember that do not expect anything in return with whatever you give, instead, let God above do the giving of rewards to you. Happy mylotting!

Its good to hear from you that you have done a good deed, surely god will pay you back in the form of some blessings. In today's world there are hardly people who take such initiatives of doing such deed. People are very busy in their life, that we don't even have pity on a begger no matter how much he is suffering. Well i do a good deed everyday that is when i go to a office on station platform there is always a begger sitting in. When i come i always greet him with a little penny and when i go i give him back that makes me satisfied and i feel lot of joy after doing that deed. But sometimes i just get selfish or busy that i don't even remove a penny from my pocket. I want to change my attitude and i hope will.

That was very nice of you , to do those acts of mercy, my friend.
I too, have my shares of generosity with some people, specially those blind ones like yours who plays the harmonica. I always give to those people. It's really a very nice feeling afterward, to be able to help in our own small way.

Its good to know that you have done a good deed. If we change the world will change. If we want the world to be a better place we have to make it a better place. I did a good deed yesterday by donating my blood for free. It feels nice to donate blood as you know that you have done a good deed. I can be happy with myself and say that I at least saved one persons life.

There has been a few occasions that ended with me giving up my pocket change for the homeless while visiting San Francisco. It's quite a nice experience. It's good to know that somehow, maybe you helped make their lives just a little bit better. The willingness to give sure is nice and contagious. Hopefully the spirit of giving passes on from people to people. There are too many greedy and selfish people in this world already.

It is good to know that you are doing something good today. I will try to do so whenever I could. With it I could smile and feel happy everyday. A smile you give to others is a good deed as well so don't forget to smile always as it bring the 'sunshine' and will make everyone happy~(^^)
